Hestia for scale

Dagger Class Corvette

Small and fast, the Dagger is used for patrol duty and flanking larger ships.

Mace Class Support Frigate

Used for repairs and PD distraction, the Mace is a useful addition to any fleet.

Lance Class Destroyer

An older design, kept in service for it's overwhelming forward firepower.

Rapier Class Destroyer

The Rapier shines at short range ,but, the forward weapons are easily blown off.

Shield Class Heavy Destroyer

The Shield is a defencive craft ,but, that doesn't mean it can't pack a punch.

The rapier has a pleasing shape to it, but in my opinion, the section four repetition is a bit much, and detracts from the overall form a bit. The Daggers sort of resemble Hestias, with more armor. Image

Are there any modded weapons?

The blasters are modded to give more bullets per gun.

The daggers are not based on the Hestias hull and don't quite serve the same purpose.

I have some problems with repeating sections and find it hard to make good curves without Sections 4 and 5. I'll try to improve though.

What about the others?

not to try and pimp my own stuff, but I've always found that sections 2 and 3 can make very nice curves, as can sections 20 and 21. If you really work at it and try to be precise, you can get some really smooth curves, smoother than you get with sections 4s in fact.

Very good for a start. I really like the shapes of some of these. Less repetition would definately improve the ships. I also notice layering errors on most of the ships. Fix these things and you should have the makings of a nice fleet.

I could've sworn I fixed most of those.

Where are they exactly?

*EDIT* Found one on the shield and killed it. Updated download.

There is one on the Rapier, and the Lance. The Rapier's is a section 03 on the left side. The Lance's is also a section 03 on the left side (part of the wing).

I also noticed a lot of pieces are missaligned after looking at them ingame. You can move pieces precisely by holding down shift and using the arrow keys. Also just incase you don't know, pieces can be stretched by pressing i,k,I,K.

@Slominator- I believe I fixed most of the errors. Good eye for spotting them.

@Spoot Knight- I'm glad you like it, its probably the best looking one, but I like the Shield more for some reason - Am I crazy?

I'm working on a new, larger ship for the fleet, however I'm not sure exactly where to go from what I have currently.

Simulated model of current design:

I don't really want to touch the front, but I might redesign the back.

Looks like something with a spinal beam cannon.

Yep it's a main cannon but I was thinking a huge railgun

The design is cool, but you might want to switch up some of the pieces. It looks just a bit repetitive to me.

EDIT: Talking about the one you just posted, of course.

Then, a good idea would be to get rid of the glowing 16's and make the lttle teeth glowing (magnetized rails)

That would be a lotta aegis.
