Yeah...I made this sword just now, took about 15 minutes or so (This is soley made as a joke, but I think it looks rather decent).

Actually, this sword is used by a character in a story I wanted to make (As an actual sword, mind you).

The sword is supposed to have energy pouring out of the blade when its swung, I tried my best to give it that appearance (It failed, obviously  ).

Obvious issues are repetative sections, particularly the fuller and blade itself.

Not so much as a ship but the general shape of it as a sword, what do you think?

Just noticed the grip's a tad wide... :?

Needs more missile launchers.

I...don't quite understand what you mean by that...

It means that you must select "Missile Launcher" from the weapons list, add it to your ship, and then copy the missile launcher a few hundred times, until the entire ship is covered in an anthem of white ranged death.

Wow! That is one slick looking sword.

But I must say if it were a real design I'd be a little worried about those spikes pointed back toward the grip on the cross guard. What if I poked my own hand while switching my grip or something! Those things are a hazard! :P

Noob here - obviously.
But how'd you get the blue flame effect going?

And the reference to Missile Launchers? Was that due to the amount of wank over armed ships on these forums?

If not, you've lost me on that one too!

I tried making the blade glow by putting very short ranged Beamers lining the entire blade, the only problem is that 5 range is too short for the weapons to aquire lock with force fire and it's somehow too long to line up with the sword.

Plus the beams are too short to hit anything...I wanted it to be able to cut apart ships upon contact.

Wow...it makes a really mean kinetic missile though...

Now... we demand a spear! :P

BTW, the blue effect on the sword (second pic on first post) looks more like modded pulsars than beamers.

Hmm...I do see some sort of resemblance, but they're Beamers.

Perhaps a set of beams with fixed arc, no deviation, near the hilt and reaching the tip or just beyond the tip of the blade?

Combine with the negative AI range/tweaked acceleration trick I heard about to make it fly in and slice on it's own?

Looks good, save for the backward-pointing spikes... as a swordplay enthusiast myself, I would really be afraid of trying to swing it without a full gauntlet :P.

Lighten the dark parts, and it will look better. And less like a really long dagger. . . .
