Methinks you should post those aliens in get your ship into the game thread, theyre perfect.

The Charon is supposed to be a civilian transport ship - specificaly transporting through extraordinarily dangerous waters. As such each of the compartments, located in the extended mid section, are self reliant and ejectable (if it were possible in-game; instead they're just parented directly to the core) in the event of boarding or sever damage. The main, fighting section is designed to last. Layers upon layers of ablative armor in all directions allow the relatively weak structure to endure prolonged firefights ... with one weak point. Two wing struts provide stability to major portions of the ship; destruction in one of these sections can be disasterous.

My second attempt at building a ship(I r post in right place!)

The X-11 Platform is a testbed for experimental technology. It's core is protected by Aegis shielding, but the generators are located on the outrigging, leaving them vulnerable.

It mounts;

2x Railgun, Quad Turrets.
2x Blaster, Twin Turrets, Long Range Targeting Computers.
6x Deflector Array.
2x Fighter Bays.
2x Scatter Laser.
2x Beam Projectors.

8x Anti-Projectile Particle Beam.
4x Critical Area Defense Anti-Projectile Flak Cannon.

5x Engines.

2x "Aegis" Sheild Arrays, for defense of the vuncerable "nose" cone armour sheilding the core.

The Actual ship has 26 turrets, 22 of those being Anti-fighter turrets.
