Here it is! Our latest battleship, the Quake Class!
Image

This deadly beauty is combat hardened and ready to annihilate her foes. While we at Thaumaturge I.T.G. have been awarded a government contract to build six of these for our home system, The Cancri Republic, we have been given permission to take contracts to build more for Cancri's first class allies.

Built in our shipyards in the 55 Cancri system this ship employs some of our best hardened alloys for it's armor which is backed up by our most reliable and proven deflector systems. Now before I go on with the technical details lets just view some images of the Quake in action. Some of the following images you will see here are from our prototype's first engagement. These images of an engagement with pirates near a remote outpost have just been declassified by the Cancri government.

That beautiful blue glow isn't just for show folks. The Quake series is well protected.

Image

As you can see these beam cannons are arranged in such a manner that two can focus on a target in any direction.

Image

The arrays of pulse cannons along the ship's sides ensure plenty of close range firepower.

Image

The Quake class is proficient in handling enemies at almost any angle and as always we can customize the weapons load out to suit your needs.

Greetings ladies and gentlemen. We here at Thaumaturge I.T.G. understand that expanding your extra-atmospheric military capabilities can be an expensive endeavor. Whether you need to increase your defensive power to help maintain orbital superiority at home or you need to extend and secure your influence over remote resources as the premier Terran military contractor we know that we can help provide the most cost effective solutions available on the market today while helping you to avoid having to build and maintain costly interstellar shipyard operations.

It is with these cost effective solutions in mind that Thaumaturge I.T.G. proudly presents it's latest line of combat vessels, the Avalanche series!

First we will go over the base model, the Avalanche I.
Image
Don't let its "no frills" approach fool you. This is a sturdy warship backed by over 75 years of Thaumaturge I.T.G.'s experience in ship making. It features a quick turning 360 degree gatling blaster allowing it to defend itself or lay down offensive fire at any angle so you'll find that this is a ship that excels even when in the thick of the fray. Of course most of the offensive firepower is concentrated in the front and I think you'll find that the Avalanche I has plenty to offer with its forward firing rail guns and beam canons.

But what makes this model so special is our system of modular configuration built around the base model so that we can cheaply and easily expand its firepower or reconfigure it to meet your needs.

With that said we'll move on to our next model, the Avalanche II.
Image
Right off the bat you'll notice the new shield configuration making use of advanced aegis technology. This model offers extra protection on its flanks and side mounted arrays of blasters for broadside tactics while retaining the powerful forward firing rail guns. The Avalanche II offers great defense while maintaining aggressive toughness and dependability.

Now we'll move on to the Avalanche III.
Image
The Avalanche III offers a different but still wholly effective approach to broadside tactics without breaking the bank. Its reinforced armored shielding on its sides protect powerful gatling blasters and its deflector shields help ensure it has the staying power your fleet demands to win in a fight.

After that we have the Avalanche IV.
Image
This ship offers an incredibly potent mix of precision accuracy and raw firepower with its six forward firing rail guns, four of which are enhanced with booster technology adding the extra punch you need to really make an impact on your foes. When you need to declaw an enemy vessel this ship certainly a viable option.

Next we have the Avalanche V.
Image
Long range fire support is what the Avalanche V is all about. As you can see this model is very close to the base model in its hull configuration and they compliment each other well as a cost effective defense solution. This version of the Avalanche V still retains its fast turning center mounted gatling blaster to provide midrange firepower when it gets into a bind but the turret can be replaced with other long range weapons.

And finally we present the Avalanche VI.
Image
Again we have a hull configuration closer to the the base model but with high tech aegis shielding to help protect the bow. These ships are great for commanders with the organizational skills to take advantage of their powerful frontal defensive capabilities by using a formation of ships to make full use of the aegis shielding. The gatling pulse cannon ensures that your foes will think twice before getting up close and personal.

These are the first six models in our series and we are confident that they offer the right mix of affordability and rugged reliability necessary to compete with any comparable weapons platform in their class while offering the flexibility to adapt to new threats. We at Thaumaturge I.T.G. have a few more models slated for release in the coming months designed to fill even more roles that may be needed in a combat ready fleet however we aren't ready to offer any details at this time.

Now we'll move to discuss each system in more detail . . .

I need to buy some shares in Thaumaturge I.T.G. ...

Really nice ships man. It's not every time when someone does an overview on every ship. Good work, Strideo. Colour scheme is on par, and the description of those weapons...impressive. Me like this. :D

The back/front symmetry (close to) makes some of them look more like orbital stations...

I like ya calah skeem.

Thanks! It was kind of fun to do a little write up on each one like I was doing a sales pitch. :D

You're doing a great job, then. Ask your manager for a promotion or a pay rise? :P

Sure!

That's all of them. The SB3 file are included but they're from version 85 of Battleships Forever so the SB3 files may not like the current version 88 Ship Maker 3.

Worse that could happen is that @#$%ing colored point beams fail? :/

Actually the BF version 88 Ship Maker 3 gets really funky when you load a ship that was made with the BF version 85 Ship Maker 3.

The funny thing is I have BFv88 on the home computer and BFv85 on my laptop. Plus I have Ship Maker 2 on both so I can still work on old ships if I want. That's probably par for the course knowing half the people on this forum. :P

From old installs or asking people nicely.

Also, since you didn't quite seem to get my message, I'm going to have to tell you here;

Cut the sig down to one image, now. Official warning.

Oh. Sorry.

I pay... like... 9.37% attention to the links on the top of the forum...

There, changed.

Say, Strideo, the reason it's a 'modular' ship with various configurations is to cut costs by using the same basic chassis, right?

Yeah that's the idea. They mass produce the basic hull and then everything else featured in the other models can be attached to the basic hull either at the Thaumaturge I.T.G. shipyards or maybe the purchaser could even buy an upgrade kit later on to upgrade their Avalanche I into a higher model. :3
