Space Fleet of the Bajn Empire.

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Space Fleet of the Bajn Empire.

Post by Harvestfreak »

I have been a long time lurker, now a first time poster. I have been working on my Star Fleet, tweaking the ships so they are all balanced.

Image
The Bajn Empire.

A: The Anubis, a strong flag ship of the Bajn Empire. It supports twin beam cannons, that when angled right are deadly to any battle ship.
It is strong in the front, sporting reinforced armor plating protected by a Deflector shield.
It attacks from an angle of 45'o so the beam weapons can do their work.
The Anubis may be strong, and deadly but what it makes up in firepower, lacks in armor in the back.

B: The Bajn Empire's mobile space station The Majestic. It is slow, but it makes up for it in protected armor. It also has a Impeder Deployer.

C: The Falcon, the fighter escorts of the of the Bajn Empire. They are truly balanced fighters. Sporting twin blasters, and a rail gun, that rips through multiple smaller ships.
Only the best pilots in the Empire will ever get to fly these.
They are expensive to produce, because of that.

D: The Condor, the repair ships of the Empire. Slow and weak. The only weapons it sports are twin flak guns. It also carries drones to combat the rouge ships.

E: The Robin, the standard fighter of the Bajn Empire, cheap to produce, fast and deadly in numbers. They are used mainly for raids on enemy space stations.

F: The Armadillo, one of the oldest support ships in the Empire. They got the name from being well armored. They sport four rail guns, and two deflector shields. This ship is old and the Empire knows it, so they are working on a new ship to replace it.

G: The Pidgin, a.k.a the Bullet. The fastest ships in the Empire. They sport twin blasters, so they can handle even the toughest ships. But what they make up for in firing power and speed they lack in armor. One of these ships poses no threat but a squadron of these "Bullets", will bring down even the biggest ships. Thats why they are usually the first ones in.

H: The Transport ships of the Empire, when ever there is a need for ground troops, these are used. They support a Flux Drive so they can escape any enemy ships. They sport only Support Drones, and Flak guns.
They never travel alone, they are always escorted by Falcons. Which make them the primary target of enemy ships.

I: The Banshee, the scout ships of the Empire. Fast and very very nimble. They have no fire power but lousy gattiling guns.

Really good, I have all the weapons set, so that if the piece they are resting on gets destroyed they do too, so it makes it realistic.
Also all the piece are parented to the next one by it, just like it would be made. Of course there are a couple ships I have not fixed the parenting on yet.
As for the weapon balance, I used the Leviathan as a target, and tested the ships out, to see if they could destroy it or not. The results were that only one ship, would get totally destroyed by itself, but if you set it up like in real life, where you send in the smaller ships, to draw the fire away from the big ships.

EDIT: The only thing I found wrong with the ship builder is you truly can't make small ships. So I had to compensate. But I figured since its called Battleships Forever. Hence the Battleships.

Oh dear. Unless you like large parts of your ship falling off when they're under attack I suggest you work on reparenting it.

Yup. It appears that if the grey section 25 at the nose is destroyed, your whole side goes *CRACK* and *BOOM*. Nasty. Very nasty.

Breaking News.

Post by Harvestfreak »

...Breaking News...

This just in from the the outskirts of the Empire.

Local scout ships, have been noticing an increasing amount of activity in the 16th quadrant.

So far they do not know who or what these ships are. They have acquired these pictures.

We urge all civilians to report any suspicious activity regarding these ships.

Unknown Alien Fighter.

Nice blur effect on those aliens, thou you might rethink that green segments on the second one. And maybe try changing the colour of the exhaust.

Anyway, I like your ships ;3

At this time, I have no further information, on why the chosen color of these ships, maybe its like the Butterfly effect, the paint job makes them look more intimidating?
