None of the pics are over 1000 square pixels at max, maybe the two uncropped ones on the first page are, but all of the rest should be way 2000 square pixels. Just in case, I'll check.

Edit: Alright, I've looked over all of the pics that I've used in this thread. Four ove them were slightly over 1000 by something. I changed two of them to 800 by 600. I left the other two as they were. I don't understand what's wrong with them and why you can't see them. If it's simply because you don't have the patience to wait for them to load (though I seriously doubt this) then don't complain to me about it. If there's some other reason, please tell me so I can do my best to fix the problem. If I am unable to fix the problem, please instruct me as to how I would best go about fixing the problem.

The problem they're complaining about (I think) is that large images stretch the forum, making it so you have to scroll left and right to read all of a post. I'm personally not effected, and I doubt you are either, because my screen resolution is high enough to accommodate the large images. If you were using a 600 x 600 screen resolution (just as an example- no one actually uses such a resolution), a 1000 x 1000 image would be bigger than the screen, so you would have to scroll. The forums automatically stretch to fit your screen, but they also stretch to fit pictures. If a picture stretches the forums to a size larger than your screen resolution, you have to scroll left and right even if you're just reading text.

Ah, I see. My res for this computer is 1280 by 1024, so I have no problems. Thank you I couldn't figure it out because I assumed that everyone had resolutions of at least 1024 by 768, or so, in which case all of my pics would fit fine.

Fine, because of some specific people complaining, I'm going to resize all of my pics to 640 by 480 which involves changing about 140 pics, and then hopefully some people (Aralonia) will be able to give "constructive comments" on my ships.

Edit: Alright all of them have been made to be less then 640 across.

Allow me to show you what the forum looks like at full scroll out:

*pic removed by moi, as per request*

Do you see what this means? One paragraph of text could be turned into one long line of text stretching all the way across the page. Same problem with your first post. Quote boxes start halfawy across the page at normal zoom. THIS = ISSUE.

Err... They're lined up vertically in my browser. No idea why the line breaks aren't working in yours. Oh, and you just stretched the hell out of this page :D. Thumbnail, please?

Yah, mine is like sponge's but I see the basis of your complaint. And please thumbnail this, I'll space all the pics out, but before I do, can you tell me if it's any better now that I've resized all of the pics?

Anyways, to anyone who's browser shows the pics like sponge's and mine, or anyone who is willing to scroll sideways a lot, please comment on the ships and stuff.

lol. You're the one stretching the forum!
The images have always stacked nicely. Maybe a browser switch is required? Donno...

This is why:

Code: Select all

*image link*
[/img][img]
*image link*
[/img][img]
*image link*
[/img][img]
*image link*
[/img]
The line breaks should go between the Tags, not the image links. This might be caused by the fact that there is no text between the tags and so they are being autocorrected unneccessarily. Place a few more breaks or even just a character should take care of it. Like so:

Code: Select all

*image link*
[/img]

*image link*
[/img]

*image link*
[/img]

As for why some don't experience it, your browser may just be good enough that it can fix this sort of thing before it becomes an issue. (php forums are old enough that its possible, especially if you use plugins and the like)

@ the people who are experiencing problems, what browser do you use? I have the newest version of firefox and everything works perfectly fine.

Also ChaosTheory, please thumbnail you pic or remove it as I get your point and, sometime later in the day, I'll fix all of the pictures so they fit nicelike on your and everyone else who's having the problem's screen.

It doesn't matter what browser we use! Do as they say!

Alright, after not too much work, and a large amount of annoyance on my part, I've fixed the pics. I have slaved away in front of the keyboard hitting the enter button and scrolling down a lot for all of a few minutes, and now I'd like some constructive comments about the ships instead of complaints about how the pics don't fit on your screen because you use Oracle PowerBrouser or some other old, discontinued, virtually unknown browser. Or, because, for some slightly more legitimate reason, your browser doesn't automatically space out the pics.

Anyway, for anyone who can't be bothered to read my itsy-bitsy rant, the main point of it is that I want constructive comments please, instead of the fairly random comments that have mainly graced this topic.

Also, if you don't like something or something looks bad, please, if you can, explain. If you have no real reason to dislike something, but you do, that's alright, but if you have a reason for disliking something, please enlighten me as to what is wrong, missing, or broke in my ships or fleet

One more thing, if the pics haven't been properly fixed, please complain at the top of your virtual lungs. On second thought, I take that back as I don't want anyone overusing that little button known as CapsLock.

Sorry for the double post.

Okay, I've made one new ship and have pics for the old ones that didn't have pics. Also, the Anacletus MkV is now a destroyer and the new ship the Damasus is a battleship. So, in terms of capital ships, I need two more dreadnoughts, four more battleships, and four more destroyers.

Also, for those who didn't know, how I put my ship descriptions is, first I put the pics, then I put my comments, then I put the ship description as it appears ingame, or in the ship summary.

Anyways, comments and criticism are welcome.

That thing is still 56k rape ^.^

The weapon color scheme is still awesome, but I have to say that some of the smaller ships just don't look like they're complete. Regardless of number of pieces, they need fleshing out. (I'm referring mainly to the symmetrical ones)

Can I assume that you're referring to the Benedictus class gunships? If so, then I can explain that. They were made first, when I had decided that I wanted to make a relatively stock balanced fleet, an idea which, as you can see, I quickly threw out the window with all of the vigour of a charging rhinoceros or light photon (because apparently they are related). Because of this, they use few pieces to make up for their powerful weaponry, and because stock ships use few pieces.

That's what happens when I post all the pics for a big ass fleet.

What can I say? It's simply beautiful. The second (non-carrier) Dreadnought looks a bit too blocky, and a few of the smaller ones aren't that nice to look at, but overal, it's bliss in a small, medium, large, huge, gargantuan, colossal, errr, REALLY FUCKIN' BIG package!

A shame about the Justice... Here's hoping Th15 finds some way to compress the data even further so our PCs won't crash when running those babies, hmm?
