The Apollyon Fleet (REMAKE!!) Page TWO for Download!

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

The Apollyon Fleet (REMAKE!!) Page TWO for Download!

Post by KOS- Abaddon »

Eh, I don't think it's too soon. Anyway, as I've said before, the Apollyon are a race of evil insectoid like creatures bent on total galactic conquest.
There ships are highly advanced, and armed to the teeth, however, these strengths are evened out by the ships extreme frailties. All the ships are all biological, and as such, can "Heal" (note, I forgot a couple nano-matrix on some of the ships...) and can return to action after a breif time. Also note, that the ships are actually specific breeds of the insect race, and are crewed by the smaller species. The smaller ships, Samael, Barbatos, Kobal, don't actually have a crew, they are there own animal. They are also know to adapt other races technologies for there own.

First up: (Note: these are all on standard zoom!)

Kobal (MK2) Light Bomber

Barbatos (MK1) Superiority Fighter

Bune (MK2) Heavy Cruiser

Phenex (MK2) Hive Ship

Asteroth (MK2) Light Destroyer

Asmodeous (MK2) Heavy Destroyer

Abaddon's Armored Fist (MK1) Flagship/ Dreadnaught

Primary weapons of the fleet are tachyon guns, and beams.
Theres also a bunch of plasma guns, being as the usual point of combat for these guys is to capture the crew (Humans are tasty for them, and everything else is just yummeh).
The person who I had test them, not saying who, says they are little bastards. HAW HAW HAW!

Tell me what you guys think.

The color scheme is SEXY. The ships are designed really well too.

They look both beautiful and deadly... Although, it's a little hard to tell in some places, what with the dark background.
My favorite is the Asmodeous.

Outstanding.

Another exquisite fleet from you. You, sir, are a genius.

Samael, Kobal and especially Barbatos are massive amounts of win. One of the (if not THE) best small ships ive ever seen!

Bune, Asteroth and Asmodeous - again, amazing.

A few crits:

don't like parts resizing on Baal that much.

Too much randomness going on the wings of Abaddon.

Some ships are overarmed. Or rather, the weapons cover too much. The structure itself is too beautiful for that! Id rather see less and/or smaller weapons.

A nice, dark insectoidal look on these ships, and they look EXTREMELY organic in nature. Nice!

As a sidenote so you don't need to worry about self-repair for the smaller ships, sections and cores will repair at a rate of around 2% HP per second (roughly) even in combat.

Obviously it's not the same as fast-repair, but it's still fairly neat, right?

Yes, but they only seem to repair up to 50% of max health. E.g. 200Hp section will *only* return to 100 Hp.
Look Up
upon reading this:
50% of people will have scrolled up
25% will have looked at their ceiling
The last 25% can now feel smug because everyone else has taken orders from a little sig box.

Mmm I likey. . .

That flag ship looks like a large amount of rapeocity. . .

The feel of that fleet is very well put together, you did an amazing job of sticking to a theme.

Kudo's sir!

I like, but your colors are dark as shiat... which is a bit of a double edged sword, because they DO make the ships look much more insidious and foreboding, but I have to squint to see the details... Overall bad-ass design though, and a really cool style ya got thar.
