1337 Productions Ships Ships To Your Door!
Here are my first ships. I hope you like them. 1337 Productions is here to serve, all ships designed by Woodgie..er...me.
This is my first:
Gaia
Story behind it is that it is a battlestation. There you go. That's it. Oh an it is squarish. Do you like it?
Next up:
Shield
This one is a bit cheap, at least to me. It is nearly invincible, except at the back, but weak too. Whaddya think?
Now:
Peace
A fighter. Upgraded blaster cannons on front. Best used in swarms. It be fun!
Lastly:
Medic
This thing is a healer. It's nicely colored for its job!
I hope you like this junk.
Oh yeah, http://www.wyrdysm.com/phpBB2/viewtopic ... ght=#33382

Gaia: A bit module and weapon crazy, try to limit the kinds you use in one ship.
Shield: Mirror the floating piece. Also, leave more places exposed.
Peace: A bit heavy on the weapons.
medic: Go for two nanos, helps balance it out.
Overall, I think Gaia is best.

This year, or this month, or, more likely, this very day, we have failed to practise ourselves the kind of behaviour we expect from other people. - C.S. Lewis
Well thanks for all the constructive criticism. Aegis, one of my favorite, I do agree that I use it too much. Floating Platforms, me likey. Weaponry, you can never have too much(actually you probably can in a game but not in real life, I'll lay off a bit). 1337 Productions will in fact ship you the ship you want. And 1337n355 is unrelated to the 5hip5, i7'5 0nly 7h3 n4m3.
Well, anyone interested in seeing a civilian ship? hehehe
I'll go make some more ships.

Persecuted for my beliefs, eh? Nah, just kidding, I guess most people just think floating platforms are weird. No matter, this one has no floating platforms.
Arrow:
Looks something like an arrow! That's about it. I tested it out, and it isn't very good against the Leviathan, but that doesn't matter. Unfortunately, it is a kamikaze type ship, and i just don't feel like changing it, I don't even know why I chose kamikaze. I don't like kamikaze. Oh well, it has good point laser defense, and that's it. Er, it has a faster speed than my other ships, and that is a plus for a kamikaze ship i guess...

Sorry if I sound like a complete dick in these next few sentences but I feel certain things need to be said and it's currently 4:00 in the morning, thus my brain isn't working properly.
First off your color scheme is horrible on the Gaia. I don't say this to be mean, only to offer my constructive comments. To me if your ship is a rainbow, you haven't done your job properly in coloring it. I'd suggest some nice tones that meld together. Aka you don't want yellow turning into purple turning into red, it just doesn't work. I'd pick a color scheme ahead of time and apply it. Complementary colors work well together as do colors close to each other on the spectrum. Also try not to use more than 3 or 4 different colors max in a design. To me if it's more than that it starts looking too rainbow clownish.
On to the design. All of your designs, bar the arrow one, are all very unappealing to me. This is my own personal taste so don't be too hurt by this. Looks is often a person to person based point of view, however I could give you some tips on how I would make it look more appealing. First off, floating pieces generally don't look all that hot unless a specific plan is laid out for them. For example on your "shield" model, one floating piece jutting out in a random direction is unappealing. If you had two, one on each side, and perhaps connected them with a thin ageies (sp?) piece to look like a beam or something, it would look much better.
The basic building of your ships is lacking in my opinion, mainly because how your going at it. As it is now, your ships look like individual pieces, they lack the structural continuity of what a ship should look like. (Again subjective.) My point being, you should try overlapping, putting it together more coherently and try not to leave many open spots unless its a major part of the design. Back to the floating parts thing. A lot of empty space in the design generally is just unappealing.
Anyways, that's my 2 cents. Hope I didn't bore you with my essay.

I've noticed many people think my ships are...not that great. I guess I just have a weird mind and think differently than most. : )
Yeah I agree about the color scheme on Gaia, I threw that on at the last moment for fun. I think that having a rainbow color scheme (or at least purple and pink) is better. No, I'm not gay(actually that's offensive, sorry, pink and purple are manly colors lol), but I think it is better because, well in real life(which we aren't talking about) people would laugh...then get blown up cause they weren't paying attention. Anyway, I'll try and make ships more appealing to what people say is better. And I have no idea what I just wrote so...yeah.
