Well, my old thread is kind of... well, huge. 38 pages and 561 posts. It's had a good run, but now I think I'll start a new one, just to make it easier for people to find my ships. I'll also update this first post every time I post a new ship, so there'll be links to all my ships from now on, making it much easier to find a specific ship once the thread gets huge. If you want to browse through my old thread, check it out here.

Mantis and Mantis Beam Variant - inspired by Talhydras' ships?

Indeed, they are. Talhydras wanted to see what it would look like if I tried to make a ship in his sort of style, and I was curious too, so I thought I'd give it a try. It turned out fairly well, I think. Tal gets a lot of credit, obviously.

I am the bone of my sword.
Steel is my body, and fire is my blood.
I have created over a thousand blades.
Unknown to death.
Nor known to life.
Have withstood pain to create many weapons.
Yet, those hands will never hold anything.
So as I pray, "Unlimited Blade Works."

I didn't know men could build such things
As in they're too good to be true.

But one criticism is that the second unnamed ship has sections too badly stretched

They still look good enough for my liking. They're not so ugly that they're worth bumping up the section count to fix, in my opinion.

Oh snap, looks like something straight out of Warning Forever.

Considering that you based it on Talhydras' style, that's not surprising. :P
Amazing work as always.

Also HOLY TAPDANCING SHIT @ that mega beam cannon.
Even your old Galactus Cannon is dwarfed by it...

Those first two look like huge angry robots. (Depth mirroring on the first one's main body is off a bit though.) And I like the last one as it is, though no clue what state of "work in progress" it's at.

Thanks for your support, guys. And yeah, I know about the mirroring problem with the Mantis Beamer Variant. I fixed that a while ago. Anyway, here's an update on my current WIP. I'll be going to bed about now.

It's supposed to; It's based on Talhydras' ships, and his ships are apparently inspired by the Warning Forever boss ships, which are meant to be like giant mecha.

That WIP ship looks small at first, until you notice the size of the core/modules.

It's HUGE!
Of course, when you think about who's building it, that's to be expected.

That "little" feathery part, near the core? That could be a ship in itself.
Is this intentional?

The scaling of the peices is excellent and really adds a lot to the designs.
