Could look weird if the ship doesn't go too fast. Otherwise, it is sorta okay.

Agreed. He also should have a sort of transition from the power conduits to exhaust. Also I think the power conduits in and around the reactor are too bright/opaque.

the latest version, now without glowing conduits. still in progress, but I figured I had better post before this thread disappeared again. It's a pain to have to look through several pages of threads to find yours.

With your reactor it looks like it's floating on top of the ship and not contained in any way shape or form which would be exteremely bad if we were talking about a dangerous bundle of superhated particles in a dense mass

it is there to vent the waste products of the reaction, as well as provide a tactical weakness from flanking.

also, the exploding thing will be fixed.

Regardless, yeah build something to look like its contained otherwise it
1.looks like you ducktaped the sun you your ship
2. the core is so hot its visible through the metal, in which case I have a feeling the metal would cease to be there in a few seconds.

Surely not, good sir. My ships are powered by my collosal ego. Hate particles are far too volatile. I only use them in weapons systems!

Those section 22's on the wing strut look pretty terrible. Same with the main hull; you may want to replace some of them with 21's (I think? I'm not at my computer right now, it might be 23's I'm thinking of). You're also going to have to chop off large sections of the stern to build the hull around the reactor if you want to keep that effect. I'm also assuming that the nacelles will house thrusters, in which case the asymmetrical exhaust thingers probably won't work so well.
