Slowly. I'm having to spawn a player-controlled Vis because the Ally AI one is being a complete coward and won't fight.Anna wrote:Heh, it does take quite a while to load... Tell me how that fight goes.Arcalane wrote:The Callisto Shipyards Viscount says "bring it on".

It depends on timing, luck, and use of the Frosch guns. I was making use of the Viscount's Frosch Guns, which seems to have made a difference. There doesn't seem to be any change in the charge rate but as far as I can tell, using Frosch Guns to drop shields will only make your life worse - instead of the shields going down, they go up and down, leaving very short windows of attack.Anna wrote:Jesus Christ, I don't see how my Legacy could have ever beaten the Viscount, unless they started off with considerable range between them. I just tested them against each other, and my Legacy got fucking SHREDDED. It went into hull-shock so fast it didn't even get a chance to fire its super-laser ONCE!
What I mean is, the shields drop, but then as soon as the AI registers that there's enough power, they go back up again. Thus, whilst they have shorter uptimes, they have much shorter downtimes too, as it doesn't wait for the entire recharging cycle.Ixranin wrote:I never see deflectors go up and down due to Frosch Guns, it's always just they stay up until their energy is drained, then they go down for good.
For that reason I never download any ships that have huge firepower and Frosch Guns at the same time, since they're not worth trying to fight without doing the exact same thing back. <_<
