The Ships of Seraphim Industries - Last Updated 12/23/07

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Slowly. I'm having to spawn a player-controlled Vis because the Ally AI one is being a complete coward and won't fight. :? I've tried baiting them both with Zelus' but the Ally one just toasts the Zelus and doesn't fly toward it, and the Legacy just toasts the Zelus with it's super scatterbeams instead of being baited properly.

EDIT: Not looking pretty. The first Viscount (I Ctrl-MMBed the Ally AI one) has been forced into a retreat, barely a shell of it's former self. The Legacy isn't in a pretty state either, but the Vis is definitely the underdog here.

Interesting. Something caused the Vis' core to spontaneously explode. I guess the Legacy wins that round! :P

Well, I've got a video of the Legacy meets the Viscount ... it (can't say without ruining the video) gets an early advantage, but gets immediately pwned. Fairly hilarious to watch.

Google's still verifying it, so I'll host it on FileFront until then. It's a WMV.

Edit: And here it is.

Edit 2: Here's the Youtube'd version. Down for the moment; I'm trying for a higher res.

A quick question. Why is it so small! Im only on 1280*1024 and it is absolutely tiny, i can't see whats happening. I feel sorry for those on bigger screens.

Want me to send you the sixty megabyte, larger file ? :D. I'll go try to put out a higher-res version, but don't expect miracles - I'm pretty much limited to twelve megabytes on youtube.

Update: It's down to 13.98 megabytes and is uploading this very moment. The text is legible in this version, so that should help.

-The video is approved; should be up in a matter of minutes.

Yeah, as tough and scary as my ships are, they're extremely vulnerable to the dreaded hullshock.

On a sidenote, it took 3 Erebii and 4 Hecates a good few minutes to finish the wounded Legacy off, and most of the damage they took was from the ass-laser which seemed to fire very slowly.

Containment on both Port and Starboard reactors was breached. I do hope that's not a cause for concern. ;)

Jesus Christ, I don't see how my Legacy could have ever beaten the Viscount, unless they started off with considerable range between them. I just tested them against each other, and my Legacy got fucking SHREDDED. It went into hull-shock so fast it didn't even get a chance to fire its super-laser ONCE!

It depends on timing, luck, and use of the Frosch guns. I was making use of the Viscount's Frosch Guns, which seems to have made a difference. There doesn't seem to be any change in the charge rate but as far as I can tell, using Frosch Guns to drop shields will only make your life worse - instead of the shields going down, they go up and down, leaving very short windows of attack.

Alternately it could be a bug with Frosch Guns and Deflectors. *shrug*

I never see deflectors go up and down due to Frosch Guns, it's always just they stay up until their energy is drained, then they go down for good.

For that reason I never download any ships that have huge firepower and Frosch Guns at the same time, since they're not worth trying to fight without doing the exact same thing back. <_<

Frosch guns have an energy draining effect on all modules. Deflectors would lose their energy but it won't have any effect on Aegis.

What I mean is, the shields drop, but then as soon as the AI registers that there's enough power, they go back up again. Thus, whilst they have shorter uptimes, they have much shorter downtimes too, as it doesn't wait for the entire recharging cycle.

Thus is a continuation of the saga of Seraphim Industries...

Enter Epitath Seraphim. Son of Corinithus Seraphim. Barely at the legal flying age, he has already proven himself an awesome commander, having scored 64 kills within his first 1 1/2 years of flying. Not to mention he was hailed as a genius, comparable to the man who had invented the jump drive (whose name was lost to history), and a brilliant strategist comporable to that of Admiral Cherkinov (who, along with his protege, had defeated Nagaya and sent the federation into it's golden age of peace). However, there was one man who did not take notice of him, perhaps the most important of them all: his father.

Corinithus used to be very close to his son, yet now he seemed to always be in his private office, which he had expansions made on. And when he did come out he seemed pale and weak. What was happening in that office...?

Now we enter the future, hundreds, perhaps thousands of years in the future...

Enter Aradel Seraphim. Current CEO of Seraphim Industries.

... I love you, Normandy. In a strictly hetero way, that is.

That's great. I can't wait to see what else you come up with. :D

Hrm... I need some inspiration. Everytime I try and make a new ship, it ends up looking like crap...

Suggestion for all your ships with the reactors; pair the reactor cores to some of the inner shielding. It looks really silly to have the reactors floating around seperately from the ship. I can understand that when they're "contained", but if you strip off all the shielding around the Reactors things start to look odd.
