I've tried making several new ships, though some of them didn't work out due to trouble with modifying modules. Still need to get pics and stuff so I can post the two that did work.
Until then... here's me screwing around with the GCBS concept:
I found a bug the hard way with it. Group rotating the sections resulted in decimal xy-coordinates, which made the pieces appear blurry along with any weapons/modules placed atop them. I had to go back through every single piece and take the decimals out of their coordinates. <_< (On all but the forwards arm.)
Credits to the people who made the chain ship that I mutilated to result in that.

I'm not sure Arcalane would accept that...
Those cores are amazing.

I couldn't tell it was based off the GCBS idea until he said so, I just thought "Cool, Ixranin made a new ship."
After I saw the credit given to the chainship builders, I started seeing the similarities to the chainship.

Sorry, the correct answer is... D, the section 25 on the bottom-left arm, next to the left-most blaster.
I liked your rendition a lot, though I don't think you've put up a finished version yet.TheBlueEcho wrote:That's one of the most Awesome rendition of the Chainship I've seen, and it don't even look like a ship, much less the chainship.
Was that always there? Dang, that's gonna be something I check for in the future. Thanks for including the .sb3!
Looking at the cores in shipmaker, I really like the black outline around them, and I might just snatch the gradient idea for my shield domes.
