The Schkrin Extrasolar Navy

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

I've made a bunch of small balance tweaks, arranged all the ships in folders according to type as well as adding the stations and shipyards and combining it all into one large RAR.

here is the file:

note: this also contains the config.ini files for the fleet colors.

Your fleet has incredible style, beautiful colors, well-designed function/roles.

Backstory = Needs some thing outrageous and unique, otherwise pretty much solid bread and butter concepts.

Bonus point for balance and (near) completion.

I agree that the backstory needs something unique, but it also needs much less "godmodding" and less of a "superior-than-thou" touch. By being the "nondevolved" human ancestors from another planet, you are in effect "one-upping" every other backstory here. It comes off as somewhat arrogant. And besides, it's not exactly heroic, noble, or impressive to be superior. In epic space adventure, remember: It's only the underdogs who get to win. :o

The ships are really pretty though.

the backstory is kinda rough though, I'll agree to that, I do plan on making a better one once I have a chance.

Yay, another one! Keep them coming, theyre great.

Idea: Something like the kadeshi needleship from Homeworld 1.

You definately gotta do a dreadnough-sized one

Diagreed. I think it fits perfectly within the style he has established.

Typo fixed.
And Ok, but those "I beam" pieces don't fit it IMO, at least not repeated that much, looks weird and out of place with the curved high tech look of the rest of it.

Wait . . . you made the typo worse. And if that was intentional, I don't get it. :?

The meatless-ness is what makes it cool :P

But yes, you might want to cover up those beams on the legs with something (or replace them altogether) - its just not fitting in with the rounded look it has elsewhere.
