TFN Antelope superdreadnought - Part of Task Force 75!!

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Most of the most wanked out ships ever.

I still remember Mjolnir's Offensive Measures and Laughable Ease.

I never played those...

I'm thinking of making a huge ship. I rarely make huge ships. And all these massive dreadnoughts are making me... hungry.. for dreadnoughts.

They werent that bad, I could of easily made them much worse. They were designed to take on ships like the Viscount and win in a resonable long lagfest of a fight. And they did so well.

They weren't that bad?

The Laughable Ease has a definite forward output of 800 damage a frame.

But it had to to compete with the bigger ships. I usually build small to reduce lag and so need some awful weapons to counter the size difference.

UPDATE!

After much deliberation among me, myself and I, we have decided to continue, yes Continue, construction of the Antelope in light of the 'much bigger and nastier' thing.

When shipmaker 3 is completed I may build a monitor similar to Antelope but considerably larger! Ha Ha!

Construction resumes after the decision not to move the Antelope to the more advanced Mars shipyards. Further superstructure is added. The six AS-51 Superheavy salvo turrets are installed, along with more deflector systems and additional fighter capacity. Engine structures taking shape.

I'm getting really close to the left-hand border now. Squeezing in everything in the last few pixels means some compromises, but things are still going well!

Once shipmaker 3 is released, I will attempt to begin the Victoria class Monitor (The category may be changed if too many people are unhappy with a monitor being anything larger than a frigate.)

The rest of the outer hull is constructed, the engines are installed and the majority of offensive and defensive weaponry are in place. The Antelope is now very close to completion.

In a test run, the Antelope destroyed a WCW4 in 5 minutes or so, the only damage being several blasters and railguns on the broadside. However it is a real FPS killer! Let's hope it's a real WCW killer also!

The Victoria Monitor will be much larger than the Antelope. That's why I'm waiting it out for SM 3. Some people feel that the monitor category is somewhere around gunboat and corvette. It could be something to do with Monitors in real life. But mine are preety much OMGWTFBBQ HUEG LIEK XBAWKS.
