The best advice I can give you is to start out small and practice, practice, practice. Maybe something simple like an X-wing unfolding then spouting cannons or something. I got to warn you though, the end result is very messy even if everything works out perfectly. It's gonna take a lot of debugging effort once the ship is near finish.

Yeah, my brain also explodes trying to fix this one. But practice practice practice and a notebook helps too.

I LOVE the Bear Rim fleet!!!! Seeing the Rim Cruiser transform for the first time took my breath away!

Please upload all the custom parts that go with the ships? I manage to get the cruiser running, but some of the other ships have ? boxes on them. I want to see them properly.

I would normally give a warning for Necros, but this isn't quite a month old yet, though it's close enough that it is still technically a necro. I'm letting it slide in this case because you're a newbie, and because D00D's ships are worthy of the extra attention, but please read the rules and follow them. I am not normally so lenient.

@_@, Sorry. I just read the rules. Forgive me, but it just come as a surprise to me, as I frequent other forums and this is just the first time know of such a rule. Would not do it the next time.

Which leads to my other question. I notice that about half of the threads on the front page of the custom ships are over or reaching a month old. Is this normal? Cos I thought there would be a lot more people posting comments with so many ships ideals around.

Please look at this from my point of view, I love playing Battleship Forever. Low number of posts kind of alarms me, as it suggests that the game community is drying up. It is not, right?

To some extent it is drying up. Posts are far less frequent than they used to be, especially when it comes to actual shipbuilding. This is quite depressing, tbh, but I imagine I'll get over it. I'm going to try to encourage people to post more.

Anyway, we should stop derailing D00D!'s thread. I hope he turns out some more of these awesome transformy ships soon.

Extract them into your custom sprite folder and it should be alright.

If all else fails, send me a screen cap of the missing sprites and I'll see which part it is.
