I reckon I'm done with the Foundation for now. In the meantime, I have a new ship.

I was actually trying to make something utterly different. This sort of just happened. It's still very much a prototype, but I'd like commetary all the same so I can better decide what to change.

It looks like something the Japanese would make. High-tech and awesome!
There are some sections that stick out: the prow doesn't really blend in, as well as some of the curvy bits on the centerline. Also, there's a slight mirroring/layering problem at the back, in the small red triangle.
Overall, a very nice ship.

I think you use too many instances of the same big sections. Its okay if you use one or two, but use more and it shows.
Those Syn_xx sections don't fit; their alien style contrast with generic/techy style of other sections.
Varying brightness of gray a bit more (i think its already varied, can't tell for sure) should help in bringing out some depth.

I don't really consider the sections I used to be a huge problem personally, but I did change the rear engine housings and tried out some new shades. Take a look.

I'm still nowhere near finished. There's still some work to do in places, plus the ship's spawning errors that I don't have the patience to fix right now.

Your latest refits of this ship is, to say the least, interesting.
About the star, I can see why you'd want it, but it looks like it's just tacked on right now, not part of the actual ship. In all honesty it reminds me of those glowing things on top of Christmas trees more than anything else.

"Okay. I'm gonna get your money for ya. But if you don't get the President of the United States on that phone, you know what's gonna happen to you?"
"What?!"

I like the carrier lots, it is very soviet, comrade. Though the red star stick out in a bad way.... I think you should make simplistic decals, for example:

See that red star? It may look a little too subtle, but it blends well with the sections. You know, you can always make your decals larger.
