The occasional builders shipyard

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Good overall shape, impeded and disturbed by presence of weapons. Play around with weapon arrangement, type and location to lessen the impact. I suggest custom sprites if the current buffet on weapons is insufficient for your purposes.

3 pairs too many deflectors, located within deep sections of the hull making them difficult to shoot off. It already has a generous amount of flak and way too many nanos, so you should chop down some of these defenses.

Or, you can also NOT touch any of the weapons, modules or defenses and instead increase the size of the ship. Make it larger so that its size will accommodate its immense power.

Alright, made some adjustments to the Eredictor:

I think that were the final changes.

And I have created a new ship:

The Declarence Light Patrol Cruiser

It's designed to scare away pirates by it's sheer size - It's a cruiser after all. Since it's main duty is patrolling, it's armament is mainly focused on fighting smaller craft, and will lose against greater capital ships. Even frigates or bombers with anti-capital weapons such as torpedoes can destroy it. But it does excel in his role of searching and destroying pirate threats.

I like the shape of the Eredictor; the autocannons underneath the plates clean up the shape a little bit, but the missile pods still jut out a little. Depth them so they stick out under some kind of overhanging piece maybe. You could probably help with the flat look by changing the values around, so set one of your secondary colors to a lighter tone and then distribute it around.

Your cruiser looks a little cleaner, but IMO its shape ends kinda abruptly unlike your larger ship which tapers off a little slower.

Overall, some cool ships.
