The color scheme nor the shape really scream Phoenix. The outlining is done fairly well though. One thing is kinda irritating though:

Vive la France? - Fixed

That would be "vive la France". Not "viva".

Liberté, egalité, fraternité!

Sorry, just had to. The ship looks interesting, but nothing new. Not bad, but not especially good either.

I agree that the name's not very fitting, though.
Name is changed now.
Not bad. Very Anna.

I like the new triangular thruster block.
It's definitely influenced by his style. It would be foolish to not take cues from the top shipbuilders. At the same time, I'm certainly not trying to carbon-copy anybody either.
Hmmmm.... Lets see....

It looks like a Bellatrix or a Thyreo

Navigium is also a good name for it, Acantho as well.

And as for a faction name ill try to come one up for you. Unfortunately my ship name list that I made doesn't include any good faction names
Thanks.
But, other than the multicolored highlighting it's good.
you don't like the multicolored highlighting? I was skeptical about it, but I rather like how it turned out.
Just mostly absurd. Thing is, with a weapon like that, a sight doesn't do you much good (since you can't exactly improve the accuracy of such a weapon very much) and as Empty said, it'll set off deflectors.
I'm aware that it's not necessary, I just thought it looked cool. Fine, the laser sight is gone.

Since I've gotten some comments about the hull shape, I tinkered around with it a bit and decided to add some small wings to see if it looked better. Tell me what you think.

Looks far better. Honestly.

Now make one with the Belgian tricolor \o/!

A laser sight has some utility on a minigun, since it at least tells you where the weapon is pointing. Handheld versions are normally carried under-arm, thus making sighting down the weapon or even hipshooting intuitively next to impossible.

If I saw a laser dot on my chest, the only thing that would scare me more would be to turn around and see a redneck holding a shotgun that will hit me even if i dodge the dot
The ship shows alot of detail work which is nice. Almost wish you didnt put thruster modules on top of the engine but it works out ok I think.

Handheld versions for all intents and purposes do not exist (what is this, Crysis? no, get out and stop playing video games), partly because of the recoil and partly because of the sheer weight of ammo required for anything vaguely regarding prolonged fire. Oh, and let's not forget power supply for electric-driven ones.

Ed: Perhaps amusingly, my earlier shotgun+scope comparison was something I noted from Crysis. You could fit a scope onto your shotgun, not that it'd do you much good.

Gives new meaning to the term "flagship"

yeah, there's really no getting around the fact that thrusters are just butt-ugly. It looks nicer without them, but then it doesn't have cool exhaust trails and lose speed when its engines are destroyed. It's a tradeoff, and for this particular faction I decided I was finally going to put the thruster module to work.

To All: the laser sight is now gone. Plz talk about the ship now :P

Yay you used one of my names :D

Anyway I like the wings you added on to the ship, it makes it look a bit less basic and gives it a bit more personality.

And if you need anymore ship names I got a ton of them so just pm me 8)

Long awaited update. I've finally added a second ship to this fleet. I'll post some more details and some pictures of it firing when I have more time, but I just want to get this out there and see what people think about it.

Nice!
All I can say at this awesome example of a ship is that maybe you can shorten the engine emission a bit for the main engine and I spy a little layering error on the tip of the right wing.

Posted an image just encase.

Other than that nice job!

(yay u used another one of my names  )

Outlines are way too flat. They need some bumps OR curves to be interesting; straight lines are not. This last ship, doesn't even look like a ship.

I tend to agree about this last one, I really wasn't ecstatic about the final result. I'm having a tough time really pinning down the feel I want for this fleet, and this was what came out of my tinkering around. I think I'm going to mess around with expanding it a bit and see if that doesn't help.

yes. yes much better, but i must nitpick and say that the section 25 you are using for the back middle exhaust should be flipped. Just a minor thing.
