The Do'Ming'Tao .shp file.

Dropped the turning a bit more, as it was outpacing what should have been more maneuverable ships. I think that in part is due to distance, but still. Taking on a Reeve and a Chamberlain left it pretty much a floating hulk, albeit one that was moving too much to finish off. Might add a thruster variation for people who prefer that.

Hmm.

Well, I was about to show off this new ship proudly and make it clear that this was the final version of how it'd look, with only stat changes from hereon out.

Then I realized that this ship should be 11:6 the size of the Do'Ming'Tao, not 3:2.

Well, you get the idea.

ugly railgun stretching is ugly.

Yes I know. But I don't know a better way to get the projectile to be the appropriate size given the bore of the gun.

Thats Ugly IMO too. Maybe not as ugly however (do to Tachyon Repeaters)...

Is there a better name for it, since searching for 'tuning fork' and Anna's posts get me nothing?

I think this is it. Not sure however.

... So in other words the solution to, 'I'm trying to get a wider projectile to match the ship' is, two really thin guns mounted along with a MegaTach?

Of course, why didn't I think of that? Oh right- because it doesn't make any damn sense.

That looks more appropriate, but it tells me jack on how to do it.

Slap a few 0-deviation beams together with minimum fire arc :P

... Which doesn't do what I'm trying to do, since I'm trying to get a single projectile, not a beam, and not several guns stacked together that will, once, maybe a couple times, all fire together, but will end up firing independently and ruining the effect.

So in other words I'm back where I started: stretch the weapon to change the projectile size.

You could set the duration really short, but then it still won't look that good.
Just try covering it with a gatblaster (0 range, 0 arc) or something lol...but that still won't look that good.

Its actually alright as-is...
