Nutcase's random ships.

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Nutcase's random ships.

Post by Nutcase »

So exams are pretty much done, school's ending in 5 days, 1 of which actually includes education and I'm bored again.

So I killed of my previous fleet by deactivating the Useless Annoying Cunt that Vista keeps enforcing me to use so I pretty much restarted my fleets.

I did however rebuild the Borealis using the pics I have.
Image
Yes, No, improvement, failure?
If you don't tell me what I should and what I shouldn't do I'll pretty much keep doing it.

I did notice however that this is the most common hull shape I use.
First versions are in my never released .88 ships. (I'll spare you the eyeburn)

Useless chit chat probably arriving tomorrow.
'Ere's some moe piccs.

Very much like a submarine in space, the section usage is close to perfect and the shape is simple, yet pleasing. The sense of depth is good, which you have achieved with only two shades.

What colour this ship needs is already provided by the name markings and the turret undercovers.

The repetition doesn't hurt this ship at all.
Realism, seriously? It's a space ship game. Realism was thrown out the window a long time ago.

There a problem with that?

Any suggestions on the Aurora's nametag?
It's kind of hard to read at times.

I'm probably gonna abuse this space sub design till it dies and then some more but what the heck.
If it ain't broke don't fix it. Right?

Any suggestions on the assault destroyers?
Criticism appreciated.

Prototype orbital construction facility with the capability to build ships up to destroyer size, two at a time. Point defence beams protect against any stray debris.

okay lol i feel like an idiot pointing this out but... in the picture of the type XXIC in the 6th post theres a layer error on the Missile rack lowest to the right... it isn't concealed like the others

but the ships are amazing, sleek and elegant looking and unlike most of the ships of similar shape they don't invoke disturbing phallic imagery. great job

The first one just sits there, the middle one is pretty much intact and the last one's right barrel is busted, halving the firing speed (and some damage on the loading system ads a few more moments to reload).

I actually noticed that one already.
You have no idea how many times I reopened those files since I posted the pics.

Oh and I've made another ships for a battle I plan on posting here:
Spot the differences.

Wanna guess how I intend it to go down?

PS: Should I release a short 'captain's log' style story describing the events that led to Terra getting hammered?

Time for a quick necro.

Post by Nutcase »

Okay I wanted to have a Carrier done by now but since I've got a mental block preventing me from making anything that's not a penisbrick...well...It propably ain't gonna happen.

I did manage to make another destroyer tough. Smaller than the Type XXI and whithout the torpedo tubes.
Type XXIX destroyer
Image
The dangerous version. It retains torpedoes. But changes the delivery system. You don't want to be against it when it goes guns blazing.
Type XXIXB destroyer
Image
Designed to supplement the original version and tear apart the survivors of the first salvo with it's rapid fire railgun (Read autocannon with high speed bullets).
The armoured turret protects the equipment inside, making the ships only weapon a tough nut to crack.
*Note: the second one gets another gun when I can be arsed to do it.

Oh and here's something I'm working on at the moment.
Type XIV armoured destroyer.
Image
Basically a flying turtle with six broadside cannons and a few turrets I have yet to draw.

Cool ships. I'm new here, So I'm wondering: what exactly is a penisbrick?
It's not my fault I can't take your post seriously.

@Dachplatte: Actually, a penisbrick is a boring, somewhat generic looking ship.

Is that XXIXB destroyer not mirrored or is it supposed to be like that? I personally think you've used too many flaks but I like the rest of the XXIX(B) destroyers.

Actually, he's right. We wouldn't call them penisbricks if they didn't look the part.
