I'm honestly not sure what version I'm using.... how do i check there isn't an about tab or anything

And I'm using some custom sections, would that make a difference?

First, try making longer posts. Not a rule but it's getting fairly hard to find something usefull here.
Second, of coarse the custom sprites should be posted. What do you think would happen if we don't have them. Exactly the game would crash or in the case of BSF it will show question marks.

The ships aren't good. Some parts of them are okay, but most of it has some bad looking things in it.
The newest ship for example: the blue cube thingy is strechted and that makes it look bad. The colours are very... ehm.... boring. And the depthing colours are pretty much inverted.
And the sections look pretty random too.

i've been looking more at structure, shape and section usage rather than color but thanks for the feedback.
And as to the section packs well i didn't know this is the first time i've posted a ship and i kinda assumed you would have all the packs i did anyways.... but i've been using the Bh and Kae sprites packs in addition to the stock parts i hope that helps.
Oh and that cube everyone hates lol well its gone now, it's been replaced
