Revenant Class

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

If you can line up the section 11's so they don't look as jagged in the front(or you can keep it,same difference to me)And cover up the supports,it would look better I think.

Only thing that's bothering me is the circled portions. You could maybe cover it with another hull piece? Otherwise, I can't wait to see it with weapons.

I'm not a major fan of the overlaying section on the front.

while the 11's do give an interesting effect, there are more visually appealing ways to get the same effect. One such way would be to use smaller ablatives, witch have the same HP as the bigger ones, to get the same hit point density without large sections. another way would be to just replace those with one large, heavily armored plate (say 10X normal HP). also, for that sized ship, one 11 with a 25 on the outside serving as the armored plate would also work well.

I understand your points (and I will try your idea firestorm), but this is to be a prototype ship, using special osmotic armor-plating (plenty of steel on the ship's side prevents the shield from letting anything through, plenty of vacuum on the other side allows shots/beams/whatever to pass through) that creates a literal wall around the front side of the ship.

Here's a try to cover up:

If this doesn't really work I'll try firestorm's idea and see what happens.

that looks better, and the ablatives are really a style choice that is up to you. now that you have that 25, I would suggest parrenting the 11's to it to keep from having floating sections.

It looks much better now. Also, I really like the colour scheme you have.

Could I have the .shp when you finish with it?

Ooh! Noticed something.
The side ablatives do not match up,bottom ones stick out more.(section 8's)

Also the 25's don't match either.I insist you kill one and mirror.

Gah, thanks for the catch shadow =P Fixed it.

And sure killer, once the ship is done I'll put up the .shp.

But this just in: The Revenant MKV was seen on the border to alien space, apparently conducting some weapon trials for it's secondary and main(?) cannon. The main cannon is rumored to be a new energy version of the TAP, capable of piercing through ablative armor.
