The Legion

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Me spoofing the ships of BlackRidge Pharmaceuticals, since he seems to have gone missing, at least for now.

The Plasmas and Mega Beams are decorational, and I see a layering issue caused by mirroring in the front.
I really appreciate that, your ship building skills are amazing. I've dropped out of this community primarily because I seem to have been perma-banned from the IRC for some reason, oh well.

Seems so but I think you might get unbanned at some point.

You know, being banned from IRC != being banned from the forums.

You know, being banned from IRC =/= being banned from the forums.

But mathematically, =/= is the symbol typically used, and it's also the most easily understood.

Here's the reason for the lack of updates:

It's probably less then halfway finished. Wanted to see what happens if I made a huge ship Legion-style, and so far what I've learned is that it's good at clogging up my computer's arteries and eating my time heh.

Now thats most impressive. Very unique and original. Great style, great colors, great detail, great everything.

It seems that i have somehow missed most of this thread. And boy, did i miss alot. Your symmtrical 'ships' are brilliant.

Hmm... scrapped the Origin Project, since it was eating way too much time and I doubt my computer would be able to run the final version. I ninjad two newer Legion ships into the original topic, both Cruiser-size and made with the revised ShipMaker. (Hopeless Resolution and Phosphorescense.)

Me fooling around with the possibility of making other fleets to go with The Legion:

Image

Main weapons are the omni-directional beam cannon in the center, and the two cannon arrays to its sides, then some secondary lasers pointing in different directions. It's designed so that it easily defeats generic beam-based battleships and dreadnaughts who rely on dealing heavy burst damage to break a foe's bow before it can be shielded, but is weak to the Legion's Demeter and Tachyon-heavy weaponry.

Love your ships! I have a question however. How did you make parts transparent? Seems like a technique I'd like to use.
