If there is one thing I am not doing, it's toning down the Entellians.

No seriously. I'm perfectly happy with them having superior firepower, especially since I mentioned in the GDB thread that they have the most advanced technology of all five races. Also, they're my pride and joy.

EDIT; you're right about the broadsiders, though. I'll double-check them all just to make sure. And yes, the Spiritus is actually supposed to be a support ship for destroyers.

And if the Entellians are that strong, how darn strong are the To'Hol Venaari going to be?

I notice there's only one ship in the Tribal Union fleet, are the rest coming along nicely?

There won't be a rest. Read the Union's description in the GDB thread, they rely on ground troops and infiltration rather than space battles. I just wanted to make a primitive looking ship.

Sorry for the double post, just pointing something out.

Earlier today, (or even yesterday, I can't be arsed to remember) one of you got overzealous enough to make an RP post stating an attack by the technocracy on one of his colonies. Apart from all this becoming very public, I must remind you that

1- The To'Hol Venaari Technocracy is still my faction.
2- No To'Hol Venaari ships have been entirely completed yet.

So please, be patient. I will start the full RP once the time is there.

Hrm, would it be allowed if a certain fleet I'm constructing were to ally with the To'Hol Venaari Technocracy, or will their faction be the type that takes no allies?

Since, you know, its better to have more targets to shoot at.

It's just cause I want to join in to this, but...my ships look too...uh...evil to be in the MRA. They'll probably get hit by friendly fire due to trigger happy gunners.

They could be one of the client races...I might need to explain the Technocracy society a bit more.

(I'll do it here for convenience)

The Technocracy is a type of society where power is gained by technological advancement. The To'Hol Venaari have always made sure that they would be the most advanced, thus entitled to rulership, but several other races may have reached sufficient levels of technology to gain at least minimal power.

Your race may be one of those more advanced races. I've played with your United Interstellar...ah shooee ships a bit, and I have the Inimical VII somewhere here, and those ships have always proven slightly more powerful than mine. I'm assuming you're not talking about the Aezir heretics?

The Spearhead would form the core of a battlecluster, which would have at least two (perhaps as many as six) lances of destroyers not counting support craft.

Well, I was building another fleet for this, so tht there's something newer to shoot at. I'll wait till the To'Hol Venaari get their own thread first, since thsi one's about the MRA

That'd also give me more time to balance

The To'Hol Venaari are a major threat to all non-Technocracy nations. Though many of my fellow aristocrats have taken the isolationist route, you have my support, and my flagship, the Gae Bolg to serve the needs of the alliance. Though small, it mounts considerable anti-station and anti-dreadnought capabilities.

Weapons Include:
One heavy magnetic accelerator down the spine of the ship, capable of destroying most static emplacements with one blow, although it is worthless against a moving target. Two Medium Accelerators, anti-Dreadnought, Two Small Accelerators, for defense against small ships, Eight Cluster missile launchers, slow and easy to shoot down micro-nukes, and a full point defense array.

Weapons are currently being modified to fit in with MRA standards of warfare.
