IVL Fleet Development thread

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Other than my previous total failure to link and image properly . . .

The carrier is sweet, probably your best ship yet. It really has the look of a transport ship with drone lauch tubes the slide out of the sides. Epic Win.

I think I'll build a fleet for the Synapse. Including a carrier with roll-out sides. >_>

I like the design, not enough carriers done properly here. The retractable launch bays make sense, especially if they are meant to be fighter bays. Kinda how BSG does it, or wing commander.
Hmm someone could always redesign BSF around a homeworld engine lol

Which would break, and badly, because the Homeworld engines do not allow easy shipbuilding and customisation.

Besides, some designs look shitty enough in 2D that I never want to see them in three

I'd rather see movable parts or custom sounds in BSF

@Aralonia: Thou, they managed to do it in GalCiv 2 [I know, different engine, but still...]

Yeah. I know.

You can change the game engine, but not the designers.

60%+ of this forum's designs will still turn out as shit in 3D.

Nice ships, much bigger than the old ones. Though some of them see over-stuffed with weapons :?

Flagship's hull is done.

Any suggestions of improvement or for a name before I get around to arming it?
