Gat3rZ ship (new user)

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

The Homeworld 2 Battlecruiser's didn't actually have many weapons. They have 2 forward firing cannons, which are there, and then as I remember it, they have one upper- and one lower-mounted beam turrets. Which are also there. There may also have been 1 or 2 missile launchers thrown in for good measure - can't remember exactly, been a while since I played the game.

Four twin Mass Drivers, two twin Ion Beams, and four Pulsar Guns.
I believe that's what it is.

The Mass Driver on the ship is a GatPulse, I don't know exactly but I think Blasters would be best.

For the weapon on the front, since in Homeworld 2 there's a Mass Driver turret right under the one on top, give the weapon a burst of two.

Do the mass drivers have piercing capabilities?

As far as I know, it's the Pulsars that can pierce through Strike Craft.

I think that was about a 0.25% chance of doing such a thing though...

I already make that, it have a bust of 2 because there is 2 turret, a clip size of 2 because there 2 cannon on each turret, a deviation of 3 degre and the damage and the color of a kinetic turret.
and for the ion turret it do 2X more damage since in the first disign because there only 1 turret.
And for the pulsar i think im going to use a modified very fast railgun.

I think both ion cannon turrets in the battlecruiser shoot two beams each. But they are soo close that they end overlapping and look like they only shot one beam each. They have different reload times, however, so when you zoom in, it should be noticeable.

So the ship itself would shoot 4 beams if you want to be 100% faithful to it and I recall propperly. I think you can leave it as it is without any problem, however. When I build fanships, I tend to give to it the weapons on the upper side of the ship only, unless there are weapons which are only located in the lower part of it.

Speaking of which, if you are placing lower guns too, you're missing the mass drivers at the sides, in the lower part of the ship, near the center piece, if I recall propperly.

And maybe you might want to simulate the hangar bays with modified drone launchers.

-And as I said before, don't forget the bridge of the ship, wich gives it the asymetry it needs to look cooler-
