I am sorry for what I have said about everyone's ships.
Please forgive me.]
I have learned to spell, punctuate and capitalize from my brother and also hve been infected by the Grammar N*** virus.
To me they look like they have been plated with emeralds and sapphires. Blingships?
Stay tuned! We'll be right back with more Pimp My Battleship.
Check the first post, this is now the Xi'Rei Armada thread, and I redid the whole first post with organization and backstory. (Yes, I even made a little demeter carrier for Lizzie.)
EDIT: Oh, and @ Gabriel, care to explain why? I got no problem with your opinion if you're willing to expend the effort to at least back it up somehow.

Dammit, leave my double posting alone. :xAnarki wrote:Correction: I'm a gay double poster.Master Chief wrote:Correction: I'd go for the exact opposite.Gabriel wrote: i goe fr d exact opposyte
Better? :x
How did you do the glowing effect?
Oh, and that was by using ablative armour, if I'm not wrong...
GONE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
It's a technique that I kinda ripped off from Anna. What you do is ya build a ship in the standard color, (In my case a dark brownish gray.) and then outline all the outer sections with a contrasting bright color. (In my case teal.) I've also got my ship glow set to pure white.Anarki wrote:

Man, everybody ripped that technique off Anna. But you also put a very interesting twist on it (the sections are lighter than they'd normally be).

Why thank you. And yes, there will hopefully be much more to come. As of yet, the Nevermore is only a rather heavy battleship, the flagship's going to be... well... rather big, shall we say.Kaelis wrote:Thats a sweet, sweet fleet. I love them, all of them, theyre perfect. Not a single nitpick.
Will there be more to come? Please?

UPDATE!
Well I found myself with a bit of free time today and decided to add a few ships to the fleet, so...
THE BLACK ARROW:

Xi'Rei armada anti-ship missile. Large and very expensive to produce, but lethal against all but the very heaviest of targets.
THE RITE OF REBIRTH:

Rather than use many different types of support craft, the Xi'Rei forces rely mainly on a single "all-purpose" support ship. While it has no conventional weaponry and fairly low armor, the Rite of Rebirth is capable of stripping ships of their armament, temporarily shutting down warships, and deploying defensive impeder platforms. The Rite even has the capability to repair friendly craft.
THE DIVINE FALSEHOOD:

Mainstay artillery craft of the Xi'Rei battle fleet. This large ship has effective point defense and decent agility, combined with six linked beamer cannons capable of vaporizing small craft at incredible distances. Its incredible power is offset, however, by its lack of secondary weaponry.
THE RAVEN:

Almost every battle group and assault force in the entirety of the Xi'Rei armada features at least one Raven. Outfitted with powerful point defense and above average agility, this ship is a fearsome sight to behold. The Raven's armament consists of two burst-fire ballistic artillery cannons and two deadly artillery beams. While it lacks the impressive range of a dedicated artillery craft, the Raven still manages to usually get the first strike against most other navies.
I like the way the support craft turned out best, as it forces you to make tactical decisions of whether to want to use it to bolster your offense capabilities or use it as a repair station.
