A taste of things to come.

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Some more useful advice (as if you need advice from someone like me...)

I like the one with two shock beamers, but I've never been a fan of two weapons facing forward in a row like that. Also, the one with a dieterling looks like two ships on top of each other. The best one (in my opinion) is the carrier.

They have near 360 turn radius. They can engage most targets at any angle save for the very back of the ship.

If you'd all look at this red light, please? Just one moment.

...

Thanks. You saw nothing here.

Ah, so in combat they would not be facing each other. It's not because of the reduced usefulness that I dislike that formation of weapons - it's purely aesthetic.

So... Those are some nice ships. I like the little one with drones that ressembles a turtle.

I like it. It's like one turret is slightly higher than the other like on a real battleship. Of course if they both have a 360 degree turning radius it wouldn't really work that way but hey it's a game. Maybe the target is slightly above the ship. :P

Basically.

The ship was made in the same combat idea as the Hecate. Good at engaging at all angles.

The large missile ship looks a little short.
Only thing I can complain about.

Well it's about the same length as the carrier. Honestly I don't think it'd look any better, bigger.

The coloring of the blasterfire is very nice, also reminds of its inspiration in homeworld. but the deflector colour somehow doesn't fin in. don't get me wrong: on other hsips it would fit but as afaik you didn't have shields in homeworld and therefore I have a strange feeling with those deflectors.

Oh I know, I did however said they was inspired. Not totally related.
Hell, the pulse blasts/Wild weasel shots are red colored. So yea I added some flavor of my own.

I'm debating on wither or not to add blue engine pieces or not. Or if they have too many pieces already.

BTW here's the flagship. I've figured I've tortured you all enough already.

Some of you may recognize the hull. I decided I didn't want to just leave this one to die with the rest so I added some to the hull, re-did the weapons. I figured with how it was designed It could fit in this new fleet as a flagship.

(The hull is the old WCW1 with some added stuff)

Very nice. I love the details on the back with the red parts. Actually the red dots throughout are a nice touch.
