These are the ships of my new epic campaign, Normandy Rising. This thread will serve not only to display them, but also to give vital backstory.
(Please, do not ask what the heck I was smoking when I named these ships.)
Dauphine Commonwealth Ships

The Trafvid-class Cruiser is one of the commonest capital vessels around. It is famous for the 'flash-shielding' technique, which instead of constantly keeping sections shielded, the shields quickly flash on then off, protecting against burst damage. (This feature is not working yet, the BSF engine tends not to like me). It is the bigger ship in this formation.
The Striad-class Gunboat is the Dauphine Commonwealth's way of saying "LAWL I PWNED JOO'. It puts out huge amounts of firepower. That's about all that's interesting about it.

The Ypsilon-class Super Laser is one hell of a useful ship. It can blast through just about anything, from annoying asteroids to populated outposts. The Dauphine Commonwealth often uses these for their fear factor. They do suffer from the large drawback of having the majority of their hull devoted to laser-amplifying hardware, so basically the whole thing is one giant, volatile, prone-to-explosion weapon.

Shown are two things, a Norman Outpost, and Dauphine Freighters.
Norman Confederation Ships
The Outpost shown earlier is actually the outpost of the Trafina Bandits, who come to your aid during the second mission. Sadly, their entire outpost is owned by Ypsilon-class Super Lasers in mission 3.

Gestrin-class Frigates are powerful foes to behold. Agile, and armed with 2 pulse-lasers, they dish out damage while avoiding it. These are the main ships used by the Trafina Bandits.

The Dristel-class Corvettes are the ultimate annoyance - fast moving, homing missiles, small profile, and blinking lights. However, experienced fleet commanders know how to use this minor nuisance to it's fullest. This is the main ship used by the Asterfarian Rogues, the group the protagonist of the campaign is from. Hence why you start with a few of them.

Last but not least, the Wesnoth. It is one beautiful piece of engineering. It is also the favored ship of our protagonist for the first few missions, until she gets a nice little cruiser. Yes, she. More on that later. The main piece of awesomeness on this ship is the light-blue laser, which provides all the power you'll need until you come up against Dauphine Battlestations.
