Economic Global Alliance Defence Fleet (EGADF)

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Economic Global Alliance Defence Fleet (EGADF)

Post by Venator »

Hey all, I'm new here so I thought I'd show some of my work; these are the large capships of a fleet I haven't worked on for a while (they're .sb2s)...

Honour-Class Battleship:

Valour-Class Battleship:

Beowulf-Class Dreadnought:

Hercules-Class Dreadnought:

And, because every fleet has to have a wanked-out monster (:P), I present...

The Eternal Defender-Class Super-Dreadnought:

(Sorry about the large image.)

All the Pulse Guns (Particle Cannons) have the same firing characteristics as those on the ED-SD - missiles are also "Kustom Jobz" as an Ork might say.

Heyo, and welcome to the community ! First of all, if you'd like to share your creations with the rest of us, feel free to upload them at the official Ship Database. It even accepts ZIP files, so you can package the entire fleet instead of listing each ship :).

On the topic of file formats, PNGs will keep the colour information a fair bit better than the GIFs you've used. Any decent image editor should be able to export to one.
The preferred outcome of war, is peace. Ironic; huh ? -[citation needed]

Nice ships, I hope you keep on shipbuilding and create crazy monstrosities, or if you don't like crazy monstrosities non overpowered ships in the future.

Thanks! I do intend to upload these at some point, but I'd like to do it as a fleet; you'll certainly see them at some point in the future .

Ah, good thinking... I put them in .gif because it preserves image quality much better than .jpegs and isn't as huge of a file as .bmps; I'll use .pngs henceforth.

Aye, you got me... I thought I'd jump on since the thread on TO isn't so active anymore.

Not bad, but hide the spine on that big one.

So you made particle guns with a pulse cannon on top of it?

He isn't new. Far from it. Him and some others, along with me, have been shipbuilding for a while, just on a different site.

Like that bunch a lot.

Not super fond on the Hercules because of it's broadness but oh well.

Yeah, I'll probably redo the whole fleet .sb3 style (oh my that's gonna be a pain O.o) and make the colouring prettier.

Nah, I just renamed them "Particle Cannons" for the sake of my low-tech theme :P.

Thanks, I was pretty happy with the net effect.

I intend to redo her totally... it was intended as bombardment platform more than a wade-in-and-blast-away ship, but of course I got carried away... it happens a lot, my Lazarus-Class Dreadnought started out as a defense platform (with just the octagonal gun decks).
