But Alunya is right. . . I wouldn't make a habit out of this because. . .it is really hard to make a side view.

Putting some effort into one of these attempts is fine but. . .trying to make a fleet. . . you might end up turning emo and cutting yourself ._o'

Well here is my take what you're trying to do:

U.S.S. Side View!

It's more of a challenge to make the weapons look natural "on top" of the ship's deck. Also if you put the ship into the game and imagine you're viewing it from the side then it looks like the ship's pilot is trying his best to simulate a roller coaster ride! Up! Down! Up! Down!
