There is a way to assign points to a ship? Something like "blaster cost 100 points, Lancet cost 200, beamerscost 300" and so on?

I'd like to see some balanced ships instead of just overpowered stuff.

So, if someone makes a 100.000.000 points ship, there is a little reason to me even downloading it unless I want to pit versus my 200.000.000 one.

The idea behind the ship creator is to be able to make whatever you want.

The majority of us do try to balance our ships, but most everyone makes a whimsy ship here and there. I don't think it's too big a deal, really.

There's quite a few relatively balanced ships out there, so its not like every ship around here has 300 megabeamers or something. Although it is human nature to want to make things bigger and more powerful

There is a system like that actually. You can look up hull and weapons strength through the ship maker and compare other ships.

Otherwise, ain't ever gonna happen, nor should it.

I believe all of my ships are whimsy ships due to the fact they dwarf just about everything else.

I either need to make smaller stuff or the game field needs to be scaled up 5x or so =P.

I do that stuff too...Yeah, a "Dreadnaught" for mine is about the size of 10 Athenas side-by-side or so... And a "Corvette" is the size of an athena.

BF needs REAL battleships...not those baby wanna-bes! =3
