My attempts at shipmaking

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

Mm. I guess my point is that a thread just for ships that are A, newbie / first ships or B, horribly disfigured, backwards, or completely screwed would be pretty nifty. And quoting someone else and adding a smiley does not a new post make.

Regardless, this isn't your thread. Nor is it a newbie ship thread. The gallery doubles as that.

So, um, about my ships? What needs to be improved and such?

Yes, quite helpful. Any about the design?

its lacking interesting design components, and a good color scheme. You have a solid color, rather boring.

No. You're not supposed to comment on the stuff in the gallery. It's just for showing stuff off. If he wanted criticism or help, he did the right thing.

And what about its capabilities?

Also, how does one take a picture of the design screen? Do you just use F9?

And a new ship: The Despot

The Despot is designed for destroying heavy ships. It has a heavily shielded front with quad blasters, a mega beamer, and lancets. It relies on mining beams and point lasers for side defenses.

Thoughts on improving this one?

So, not even a snide comment?

Hooray for backseat moderators! At least we now know Boba's pretty much effectively barred from a Mod spot now

Thank the gods.

@Zater/Despot; very simplistic. :? Needs work. It also has some mirroring errors in places, and the floating modules look rather odd.

And yes, just press F9 to take a screenshot. The output (in .bmp format) will (or should) be saved in your BSF directory.

I've never wanted to be a mod, never will be ever. its a fact I've accepted. 25% of the time, I'm to much of a sarcastic twat, another 25% I'm too judgemental, the rest the time I'm too conservative.

but honestly, I don't see what everyone has against me. :(

What would you recommend to improve the design? And it has mirroring errors due to errors in placement early on leading to mirroring things it shouldn't. What really needs to be fixed?

Also, what about the support ship. I posted it right before the semi-hijack.
Also, I don't have downloads for it as I'm waiting for the final version.

Yet another attempt to get some criticism.
