The blinking outline allows me to line stuff up properly but it's also horribly annoying. If what I mentioned before can't be done, where intersecting lines are automatically on top of the blue outline, for now a much slower blink would do. Perhaps, on for one second, off for one second. If it's possible to make it fade in and out, rather than blinking, that would be better and you could slow the frequency just slightly, maybe a quarter, instead of to a full second.
Even better would be something a bit more contextual but that requires me looking at exactly when you need the outline and when you don't don't. I thought I had figured it out a while ago but forgot what I thought.

The layer terms are really hard to decipher and I found it confusing that I could only use the keyboard when I had the menu up, instead of just using the keyboard. The other problem is that you use the words send and bring, instead of just bring or send, as if bottom and top require these different words respectively to work properly. One verb will do it. The terms should be:
- Up One Layer
- Down One Layer
- Top Layer
- Bottom Layer
I'm pretty sure you even need depth markers, it could be all relative just fine. Also, something really weird happens with the layers where they all go to zero but are still stacked the same way as before and I can't change layers.

Another thing I've found, I hate the series of data entry windows that pop up for changing weapon stats, be it the stats, or even just firing arcs. Far better would be a single window where all of the stats are listed with entry points and a simple, generic, turret facing and arc degree icon is shown that changes with the different stats. Also, a bolt leaving the barrel with the frequency described in the information bars for things like clip size, refire rate, and clip reload. Those indicators are probably a tall order, but combining it all into one window where all the stats can be adjusted and seen at once shouldn't be nearly as difficult.
Most of all though, I don't want more options in the ship maker, just for the keyboard keys to be cleaned up.

Well, I've completely trashed the ship builder, because it's now actually managed to be less than useless. I can't build ships period, whether I import previous ships or make ones from scratch in the latest shipbuilder - they all crash the game the same, although in different ways:
- imported ships modified in the latest version of the shipbuilder will crash the game upon being loaded (this includes ships built from scratch using the current shipbuilder)
- ships built from scratch in the shipbuilder now crash the game once destroyed
So yeah, less than useless
(this is a repost from the "Bugs Topic" thread)
