Thought this ship is fancy enough to get it's own thread, since the Antelope got one.
The Antelope class' abilities proved to be invaluable in the fight against the xenological threat. But the long-range capital missiles and SBMHAWK launchers were too infrequent to be of further efficiency. The emphasis on additional broadside weaponry like blasters and pulse guns meant that strain was placed on the missile racks, reducing their intended amount. While the Antelope serves as a ranged, all-purpose SDR, the ARBALEST class, now out of conceptual stage and under contruction in the Ashen shipyards, is to be the answer to the loss of missile supremacy in the GCHMS.
Initial construction begins, with immediate placement of the first missile racks.
That's where I started whoring 'Monitor' instead of 'Dreadnought/Superdreadnought' anyways.

You know, for the upcoming Cold War V2.0, we're having a warp network very similar to the ones found in In Death Ground/Shiva Option. The warp assault doctrine I've been promoting as my own is pretty much ripped directly from the two books. FTW.

I doubt if I will be taking part in CW2. The concept seems cool, but it's way too full of limitations for me. No current GCHMS ships would even be permitted. We get how to not make wankships, but the no custom weps is a bit OTT for me.
Anyway, I haven't touched Arbalest for a while now, so Chrimbo Eve will consist of overtime for workers in Ashen III Orbital Shipyards and present wrapping.
No custom weapons is fine as far as I'm concerned. Ne aegis blasters or other schnitz, not to mention it makes things WAY simpler for the organizers.
Balance & simplicity FTW!

Tell that to Arcalane! He made a point of having absolutely no single molecule of custom weaponess in his new cold war. Ah well.
Weps - Tweaked so far. The ship should be as specialized as possible. It's a SDR, meaning that it has massive emphasis on missile attack from extreme range. The only weapons should be missiles, plasmas, some flaks, blasters and beamers.

Tweaked as far as i know. No sense in using ordinary rocekts in uberships and i think it is an ubership.
And yeah no custom weapons is better then custom weapons without prices... Hope there will be some kind of exporter of ship stats in future to make some trys on price making...

Not only 360 i presume. Some changes to firerate, clipsize, reload time too no? It just that in stock build they are too boring. Like 5 clips size. 2 fire rate and 200 reload no? Or realy a LOT of them is planed there?

Balancing prices for custom modules and weapons is night impossible. Is that +100 range worts 1 or 5 points? On what weapons? What about ROF? Believe me, people would find a way VERY fast to exploit any blancing mistake, and in this case there would be PLENTY.
Heck, it's hard enough to try and put a balanced price on stock modules as it is!

For the effect, firing arc is 1 and deviation is 360.
For firepower, range is 3000, damage 20 and reload 75.
No change to clipsize, it looks stupid. Instead the missile tubes are 4 deep, so multiply what you see by 4.
No ROF change either.
Though consider that the ship is meant to take up the length of the ship maker. It will be as long, but much thinner than the Antelope, so many more missiles are planned.
FYI, Exethalion, I tried to make a missile cruiser using the same kind of thing (Bismarck hull) and it's absolute shite. Plasma warheads travel too slowly, as do missiles. They also get shot down too easily.
