Low tech fleet refit.

Archives for ships and fleets. 'nuff said. Most of the ships here are very very old and will not work in current versions of BSF or SM. You have been warned!

*Thread bumping for actual good reason*
Anyone ever try these ships? And how did they handle?

Hulls are very tough, but weapons are also very vulnerable to head on lancet or broadside plasma charge attack. Against Aralonia's ships, these get declawed by their support cruisers's mass plasma charge launchers really quickly.

Edit:

Also, on large maps, the dreadnaught and the carrier engage too early, and get blown up before the rest of the fleet can catch up. Maybe play with the energy level of their dieterling devices a little, so they don't make they jumps as early or as often.

Your ablative armor techniques are amazing. o_O

Your dreadnought vs. my dreadnought:
Controlled by AI: lose | Controlled by me: win (close)
Controlled by me: | Controlled by AI: lose (almost a joke)
win (by far) |

No Monitor/Titan class to fight with. :( lol...

Very nice ship set. The low-tech focus really works.

Oh lawd, is dat sum thread necromancy!?

In all seriousness, Lizzie left the forums a long time ago. And there is a rule against posting in threads that are more than a month old, unless you have something new and significant to add.

Since she's moved to a different forums, and hasn't made any posts since the 11th of January, I doubt that, derekiv.

Just posting here to apologize for the necromancy.

I've been an absolute nincompoop  not to look at the dates of these topics. I've already been bit in the forehead for it by Arcalane, and i'll pick my posts better in the future.
