ok then. Not enough recoil to warrant building in a dampening system in the ship.

Just a little fighter I made as part of a larger fleet.

two fixed mass accelerator cannons with full recoil. Lots of shots very fast, but a slow reload and a very small firing arc.

OK so I played with this for a while and I'm pretty happy with the animations.

"Headshot" LRTCP-01
The headshot has a single role, and that is capital ship killer. It is most basically a sniper, using a stripped down HKR to accelerate a high density, thermonuclear weapon over long distances. The shell is somewhat of a "bunker buster" tearing through several layers of armor before finally detonating. The headshot has been stripped to it's bare components, with even the ammo reloading process being performed externally. While it excels at it's task of destroying large targets from long distance, it is completely vulnerable at close range. Assuming a target can make it to close range.

damn thats cool.... But i would like to see the main gun have a little bit a turnability abd it would look better on like the side of a ship or somthing.

Technically it is supposed to be on a ship, or a weapon platform to be specific. THe cockpit is that center thing there. So it is on the side of the ship, its just that its bigger then the ship itself :lol:

I think I'll try making more in this style. I like the whole "space ship/giant gun" thing.

Any suggestions or inspiration welcome.

That reload sequence seems very inefficient. I'm sure it balances out with the amount of damage it does though

Oh, also: If it fires material shell it would be useless against ships with even moderate flak arrays.
