This is gorgeous and hasn't received half the attention it deserves. Oh I know, it was mostly sarcastic. Just thought it would be funny to hear all the rage about the inner workings of the game and how people design ships. He has a pretty good caster voice actually.

Those platforms are badass...More like those! For working stealth if you can have tiny invisible sections that rotate fast around your ship at the range you want their sensors to fail, the effect will be as if they know you are there but can't get a direct lock. Some pretty original ideas here. Not the best section work but from a distance some of those look interesting. Just keep refining your designs and try a range of sprites to see what works well. Oo I really like the use of the darker sections; the doodads too. If you add any secondary weapons, especially point defense, some kind of arc beam would look neat. Why are the engine glows showing through the nozzles? Not that it looks bad. Hmm now I wanna see that main weapon fire...

I like it! It's a good size and everything seems to fit together well. Only part that bugs me is how thin that neck piece is just because it breaks up the sturdy look. Well the little circles on those four blue pieces by the engines would work well for mounting guns. The grey piece on either side of the middle could probably fit a missile launcher if you use the right cover sprite. Alternatively, you could just hide lasers or something under the antennas.
