Re: I'm still here!... mostly.

i know what you mean. it's a good ship, but it hasnn't reached it's potential. the sectionwork is absolutely beautiful, but it looks like the front and the back come from different ships, there's just a slight change i the design. making this into two winships would be awesome Ooh, pretty! You sure...

Re: Shadowbane's ships

Great job here, the lime green is quite pleasing despite it's high saturation. Liking the new ship, although the wings are depth oddly, and not liking how their edges "poke" at the core of the ship.

Re: My First Ship Made Using SWA Sections

Section usage is horrid, the repetition to the rear of the core is distasteful. I am not even going to comment on the weapons. Your main problem here is the lack of coherency and realism in your ship. If you are to have wings on a ship, they must be attached to the ship in some visible manner, no? W...

Re: Snopel's Custom Sprites(Atlas Mining Company)

All these sections are far too flat, these are below the standards of even the first SWAized sprites.

Re: Fifth BSF Beauty Pageant - Judging Starts

im not sure that LT tested any of them except STARSTRUCKS actually, i put some huge thruster flares on my ship which makes my non existing engines ummm well, kinda impossible, unless he meant something else. and stock green is probably worse but hey. Yes, I did test all of them. Now my Custom Sprit...

Re: Fifth BSF Beauty Pageant - Judging Starts

Iron Mountain: Susini Class - Preacher Aesthetics - 5/10 Originality - 7/10 CSU - 6/10 Functional Appearance - 6/10 Playability - 4/10 Grand Total - 28/50 Lots of potential here. The contrast between the upper tan pieces and the gray sectionwork is nice, but the overall mix of Mecha_sw and Prossect...

Re: Preliminary Armour System

Great idea for countering Vulcan spam, Arca :D .

Ed: It' might be better to swap to having heavier armor negate some of the damage rather ignore the shots completely, as I can easily put a 6k health section on larger battleships and place all my turrets there, making it nigh-invincible.

Re: New Fleet:Fossil Ships

If those are supposed to be arms, where are the shoulders/joints? Unless you're making a stick-figure, sections should connect together somehow. If you're planning to use HM_Stone extensively, i'd recommend you have a look at HM's ship thread to see a few examples.

Re: My first decent looking ship

Leave the judging to everyone else, Destroyer. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder  . As for the ship, first off, Yes, Anna, you're right DST and TSA_Uraki do not go together. Uraki is flat and nearly dimensionless, DST is almost 3-D. Aside from that, there's not coherent layout to the ship. ...

Re: Preliminary Designs

Some Dst sprites are in Kaelis' sprites' folders. Also you either haven't read my posts on engines or haven't heeded them. CIWS are good though, really minimizes the damage that artillery could do on your hull. I've taken it into account, although i'm slightly leaning to have the ship move slower, ...
