collaborative ship design: Guitarship
LactoseTolerant and I are working on a ship together. We decided to do a guitarship. The idea is that LactoseTolerant will do the majority of the sectionwork and potentially some detailing, and I will finish up with weapons, triggers, more detailing, etc. Our initial basis is this: http://www.compa...

1. Depth reasonably, and shade according to depth. I'm not aware of any limit. No, no two sprites may share the same depth. 2. in SM, there is a button for adding weapons. It's the second one down. The one you see there is the one you're adding. Use the up and down arrows next to the button to choos...

That's exactly what I was thinking of, actually. That's one of the things that made me think of this. There were some ships that had really good form, but no triggers. Then there were some ships with really interesting triggers, but boring shape. Things like that. Think of what we could do if we col...

Really? I don't remember that. I briefly skimmed through the sign-ups and the main thread, and I didn't see anything about it. I've been following the pseudo-chainship thread pretty well, and I didn't see anything about it there either. Even if we don't do a full blown competition, I'd like to do so...

collaborative ship design
I like the idea of collaborative ship design, but I think the chain-ship project is a little problematic, because there are just too many chefs in the kitchen, so to speak. So, what I was thinking was, why not try a small competition for small team ship-building? Each team would build a sort of mini...

Problem with triggering on when a weapon has gained a target is that it can only reasonably be stopped after a limited time or after the weapon has lost target. The former is a problem, because it means you shoot x number of times, which may be too few to kill the target, or it may be too many, and ...
