The colour variation makes a big difference. I like the new ship. Looks like I've finally gotten the colors to a point where they look good (which is good, because going back over and changing the color of every piece was a humongous pain in the rear). *Update* Here's the updated version of the Chk...

*Update* I've lightened up all of the ships except for the Chk'Natha, hopefully they'll be easier to see now. The pictures from the first post are all updated. I'm planning on adding a few more ships, then I'll put up a download and start on building their opposing fleet. Let me know what you think ...

My big problem is with the Icarium Broadside Variant. Every other ship hides the weapons under demeter turrets, and then for that one you throw a bunch of weapons all over it. It just looks out of place, and somewhat cluttered (and the blasters look kind of squished). The normal Icarium looks great ...

I can kind of see what you're going for, but the 26s are still all kinds of fugly. As a general rule, I think unless you're doing something really cool with them, you should hide 26s as much as possible. It just isn't an attractive piece at all.

I like the teal coloring, it adds an extra bit of depth to the ship, works nicely to make it look bigger than the other ships. I still take issue with the uber-stretched section 24s. They stand out as eyesores on what are otherwise really nice ships.

There are a lot of things here I like. The alternating 17s and 14s near the middle there look really nice. The antenna array on the top is also well done. The asymmetry is nicely done. In a lot of asymmetric ships, it looks like they're made simply for the purpose of being able to say "Look at ...

alrighty I lightened up the purple core area to give it more contrast. I also did the Barrage-Class. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y170/xphoenix87/BFscreen064-1.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y170/xphoenix87/BFscreen063-1.jpg Let me know how it looks. Also, anything in particular that you t...

Alrighty. I upped the luminosity of the Wyrm by 10 to see how it looks. Tell me if that's bright enough or if I need to take it up a bit more. Once I get this one right, I'll go back and do the other ships (sigh).

Well, I've done a significant amount of shading on most of the ships, lightening up areas to give them some sense of depth. The shading is a bit subtle though. You think maybe I should make the shading more drastic? For the Chk'Natha, I might do some shading on the outer purple area, but I'm not sur...

very nice fleet, I really like the overall design and cohesion of the fleet. The Deacon and the Archdeacon, despite how much I like the forward beam corridor, bug me for some reason. I'm not really sure what it is, I think it might be that there's a lot of stretching and it just doesn't look great i...

Judging by the action shot of the saucer, it looks like (can't believe I am going to say this) it doesn't have enough deflectors? Of course, I have no idea what kind of HP did you give to the outer sections. I originally had a lot more deflectors on here, 4 each on those blocks instead of one. Howe...

I hate to triple-post, but since apparently no one wants to comment on my ships, I'm gonna go ahead and do it. *update* The Chk'Natha is done, other than maybe some doodad work that I'll put on later. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y170/xphoenix87/BFscreen057-1.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums...

understandable.

After playing with them, the one thing I'll say that the weapons need to be stronger. I let an arwing and wolfen go at each other for a few minutes and they weren't really wearing each other down. I'd up the damage pretty significantly

arwings = epic win

The only complaint I have is that the blue struts could do to be a little pointier in the back, but that's just nitpicking really. They're awesome, I'll have to DL them and try them out.
