Yeah, I'll probably do away with the outline and use more solid colors and hues. As far as repetition goes, I may have used a few more section twenty ones that I did others, but it's about the only non-angular curved piece that can be stretched a little(two or three at the most) without looking too ...

I think alphanumeric doodads would be great!

As for fonts, I've always liked this one-

Yeah, I figured that. I'll be playing with different color settings today, might find a good combo there.

Ok, I've changed the outlining color from sky blue to light gray, the low depth superstructure is now a mix of steel-blue/purple and the section 21 internal armor bits are a darker RGB-128 gray. As well, disregard the current weapons and the aegis, they'll be removed. The following photograph has be...

Along came an imperial dreadnought... Well, I decided to finally resurrect my old incomplete terraformer, and I'm rather delighted with the results. My apologies if the photo stretches the screen somewhat, I can zoom out/downsize no more without significantly losing detail. The AIF-ID-Morríghan Imp...

Missiles have to be AoE; I've seen a missile (singular, not plural) destroy a shield section whilst simultaneously harming a hull piece on the ship. probably the damage caused by the debris Sometimes when multiple missiles are launched, they will lock onto the same target and home in together, cove...

My brother's juggernaut has officially been deposed. The top left one is the best of all of them, for what it's worth.

The best thing I can say is lurk and take a gander at other player's ships. Almost any other player's ships.

Except the ones in the HoS area. :|

Question. How do you change the topic name? Go to your first post and hit edit. At the top you can then change it to whatever you please. Also, you can upload your zip files directly to the ship database, if they're less than 150 kb in size. ::edit:: Also, I can't seem to access the files on the si...

Well, it's been a bit since I last posted a ship on this thread. Just after I finish the second generation AIF ships, I start nitpicking and eventually I decided to scrap them altogether and work on mark three. And now I have a few of them complete, plus more around 90 percent complete. The bigger s...

Not that bad, but it could do without the bow section nineteen, the spikes mess up the outline, or ad another piece, and then the nineteen, to hide the spikes.. And as well, you might want to play around with the section ten's depth, or replace it as well. An interesting experiment, worlds better th...

I'm not sure what deltaflyer was referring to, but the way it is layered seems quite fine, at least to me. However, there are several slightly annoying layering errors in it. http://img353.imageshack.us/img353/4531/errorsvj0.png 1- Those could be fixed by shrinking the sections to fit, or by coverin...

Um, I've been able to get blasters to appear somewhat similar to particle guns before(with surfaces turned off, they come out much better). You can shrink them, increase the speed to three or four hundred percent, then set the deviation to zero, then fiddle around with the burst and clipsize setting...

Pretty good, but the areas past the central aegis bit seem to lack a center-line piece. If so, only bad things can happen :|

Otherwise, not too shabby, the section 26's are really well placed.
