The colours that most people have been using, including the very cores posted here, seem to be closer to (0, 191, 255). I propose having (0, 191, 255) and (0, 128, 255) as extra shades that people can use. (ironically, the coloured text uses 0x0080ff, or 0, 128, 255).

Found an interesting bug in mirv beta, maybe it affects 0.90x version as well. Allied ships' PD has a much higher chance of destroying enemy ship's missiles than the other way around (or to put it another way, enemy ships are more susceptible to missiles from allied ships). Is a ship's monetary cost/amount of manufacturing capacity used, a function of its radius or its mass allowance, or some combination of the two (or other variables like its equipment)?

Don't use so many generic2 sprites. Otherwise the shape is decent. Also, shading should convey a sense of depth, with the rule of thumb being that higher sections are shaded lighter than the ones below.
