This usually happens when the game for some reason cannot access the dlls. For example, if you have vista and UAC turned on, it might interfere.

Those actually aren't used in the game. They're left over sprites from the hardcoded previous versions, placed here for reference. The stock sprites distributed with the game are indeed just for reference and BSF stores its own internal versions in the exe, but alpha maps ARE used in the game inter...

If i had a netbook (or any other computer for that matter) thats often throwing BSODs, id be worried about the hardware, not trying to run another taxing game...

Nope, everything should work out of the box.

The error message you posted indicates that theres a typo in code, to be specific theres a missing comma. However, ive checked the source, and everything is fine - the comma is there, and the error does not and should not happen.

Well i have no idea whats up with that, it works fine for me and everyone else. Im guessing its something with your system, perhaps GM doesn't like it for some reason, but i can't say what it is exactly.
