It's not so much the symmetry, which is good, as using the exact same part over and over, particularly right next to each other. Varying it up can help improve the appearance of the design.

Also, on the Sulaco I'd suggest redoing the front, and maybe using doodads to add the antennae.

That's actually not a bad idea. http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/1091/bigtargetkx0.png Big Target BigTarget - Standard target in every way except size. All sections still have 100hp. If you want variations as with the...

Target Practice - Firing Ranges & More Targets Pg2

Okay folks- I figured this was quick, easy, and there seemed to be a constant need for them. So here's a very simple thing: http://img117.imageshack.us/img117/7489/targetsew0.png Targets . They're (mostly) color-coded for ease of identification in the sandbox. There will be more, shortly. From the m...

... Which doesn't do what I'm trying to do, since I'm trying to get a single projectile, not a beam, and not several guns stacked together that will, once, maybe a couple times, all fire together, but will end up firing independently and ruining the effect. So in other words I'm back where I started...

That looks more appropriate, but it tells me jack on how to do it.

... So in other words the solution to, 'I'm trying to get a wider projectile to match the ship' is, two really thin guns mounted along with a MegaTach?

Of course, why didn't I think of that? Oh right- because it doesn't make any damn sense.

Is there a better name for it, since searching for 'tuning fork' and Anna's posts get me nothing?

Yes I know. But I don't know a better way to get the projectile to be the appropriate size given the bore of the gun.

Well, I was about to show off this new ship proudly and make it clear that this was the final version of how it'd look, with only stat changes from hereon out. Then I realized that ...

A. Definitely A. B looks like it's some sort of oversized lander.

Well I was gonna say the Aegis isn't bad, since there's so much on the ship that's vulnerable... but the deflector spam suggests there's not one section that can't be defended. I don't think I even want to bother finding out the hit points per section.
