@ADM agreed smooth running gameplay is preferable to fancy features which can be easily replicated by placing a damaged ship sprite underneath the shiny undamaged ship.

Personally I think that you can add as many features as you like but the most important thing is nurturing new members, i have seen many people come and go sooo quickly because they burst in all enthusiastic with there aegis spammed stock sectioned newb ships only to get shot down and crushed by cri...

Thats the bug you get when you turn off section glow in shipmaker, and yeah i also had difficulty with that particular sprite.

although STARSTRUCK did a used triggers to give the impression that the ship was accelerating in his Viking ships check it out to see if its what your after, of course your relatively new so I don't know what your trigger experience is like. A: no, there is no way to change the core sprite, however you can change which core you use and you can even cover it up with other sections.

What an awesome idea!!!!! i have a warp gate you can use, and i agree with jwa about the modules charging up it will be hard to implement and you will need wave after wave of enemies to give a decent amount of game time but it has the potential to be great ships aren't to shabby either.
