Re: Ships.A few.
Honestly, I was going to do it if Anna didn't. I'm fully lucid that I might've been ripping into an excited 12-year-old who really digs Pokemon, although that's really no excuse.

Re: WAR FOR THE GRAIL - Part 1: World Of Origin
Putting in a vote for E. For some reason I feel that Rider will gore us if we try to lie, so I think we should make the reality of the situation perfectly clear.

Re: WAR FOR THE GRAIL - Part 1: World Of Origin
A-ish.
It's definitely not optimal for us to stay attached to Galahad and the Akashic whatever, but I'd like to suggest that we also carefully explore the neighborhood, keeping an eye out for the remaining unaccounted-for Servants and their Masters (Lancer, Rider). Naturally, assume they are hostile.

Re: WAR FOR THE GRAIL - Part 1: World Of Origin
Look guys, we've summoned a giant assassin robot . Let's zip down there, swap out Galahad with one of those straw ninja decoys, then back the fuck off like ultraspeedstyle before 'Zerker murders us. It's clearly a bad idea to directly confront this thing, we'll figure out how to stab it in the dick ...

Re: Spriting thread
th15's sec04 is good and we should probably keep it. It does look a bit "cleaner" than what we already have, though, so I might make it "dirtier"? IDK. @Lukasmah: Those guns look good. IIRC we haven't decided on a weapon style yet, but if we're going for the HM style, those defin...

Re: CryoWare Heavy Yards
Methinks for his next ship, CryoSleep should temporarily abstain from glowballs and try to use no less than three shades of each hull color. The central problem with his ships is that there's not a good lot of shading (or depthing, or value variation, whatever you want to call it), so they come off ...

Re: Spriting thread
Sorry, I've been a bit busy lately. Now that that's done with, here's what I have so far (i.e. not much): http://www.majhost.com/gallery/STARSTRUCK/BSFDEV/ss_thenewprosectionax.png Left is a section I made very early on, featuring a smooth, Kae_shn-like aesthetic. Middle is an original section based...

Re: How did they make MIRV and FighterBay?
AFAIK, there are no plans to render the source code to anybody new (and there's no oldguard around with the right combination of coding skill and unadultered masochism anyway). However, as Doogie said, attempting to writing a new shipmaker from scratch should be perfectly fine, even if I doubt anyth...

Re: Delta shipyards
That's a damn unique ship and I like it. My only complaint is that the outermost hulls don't seem particularly attached to the supporting wing bits.

Re: Help me make this game
Comrade th15, it's good to see you in action again. I myself have tried fruitlessly over the past few months to like-just-make-game but it never actually got anywhere because ADD. Regardless, I hope I can be of help. I can sprite sections and GUI elements, write blurbs, and code GameMaker if needed ...
