The arms are better, though I'm not sure about the rounded bits on the joint. The new one looks nice so far.

Re: Zalausai's Ships and Ship Ideas
The arms look silly and don't fit well - you've got to come up with a new way to do arms, you always go with that old school 50's robot arm shape which I think looks ridiculous, and it throws off the design. Try taking a look at Talhydras' old ships for some of the best arms on wyrdysm. Other than t...

Re: Destiny's workshop
I'm sure it can, if you're on windows 7 or vista and possibly 8 or other OS's, just click the battery icon in your taskbar and use the slider found in the bottom of the adjust screen brightness screen. You probably have function keys for it too, either way you should be able to find a decent middle ...

Re: Interesting games: The series
Cool, glad it's actually useable. You can change the view distance in options and stuff, though I don't know what the upper limit is. How much does it cost to spawn in? As for not being able to see, stick a cockpit on the nose and maybe a couple on the sidepods?

Very well put man, a bit of reality in people's pseudo science backstories would make them a lot better. Don't run away, teach people things instead.Happycake wrote:snip of physics stuff

Absolutely lovely, in case you haven't heard that enough. It's a nice nod to Banks and aside from the ship, the landmass section is also pretty perfectly chosen.

Re: Zalausai's Sprite Work
Why is the double circle-holding section at a 45 degree angle? I guess it doesn't really matter but it'd be a lot easier to centre if it wasn't (if that's still a problem), and it seems like an odd thing to do since most every section I can think of with direction is facing to the right.

Re: Simple Drone Tutorial
Nicely done, when this came out I went through the trouble of figuring it out, so I know how much work it takes. A couple things: I may be wrong but I believe it was Eri Erin who made this, so the quote from Anonymous should probably be attributed to him. Also, to make the section unshootable and in...

Re: Crappy attempt at a shiny fighter section.
I'm about the farthest thing from an artist, but I think part of the problem is that the shading is too subtle and the internal lines too soft (if that's the right term). They're not dark enough and they don't subdivide things as much as kae's sections did. Also, the light areas aren't light enough ...

Re: Gunmax - Anna's Random Ship Repository
Anna, you're right, the blue for those rear sections doesn't work well, they look even more like they've been stuck on top. You should consider replacing them or reworking the area. That said, the extra section you added in-between does help, I think it makes the rearmost section look less stuck on....

Re: War for the universe - Darkness
Are you just attention seeking now? I'm not sure why no one has noticed this or taken it into account but he's a 12 year old kid so this is all pretty much to be expected. While you all have a good reason to be miffed and to try to help him understand the problems with his reasoning, you shouldn't ...

For what it's worth, I enjoy this and I think most other people do too. You've probably got plenty of lurkers like the pretty ships and story and gunfights. Honestly, it's the only wftu thing I actually read (instead of skimming through) so if you stopped it I'd have less reason to keep lurking here...

Re: War for the universe - Ratai armada.
Reminds me of some of the Athena Mk. IIs that people have made for various iterations of revamped stock ships.
I like it, while some of the details in the winglets might be a bit iffy, the overall ship is great and the armor tiling is very nice.
