You have to have crap-load of delfectors on spiny ships... They tend to usually have more pieces anyway. EX: My flagship(Which is spiny) has over 400 pieces, yet it has only about 12 deflectors... the front of it has over 50 pieces(guess) facing forward. Kinda hard to defend against a rail barage, o...
