Re: Beauty Pageant Revival Questions
I'll probably come back for the Freeform contest. The "Limited Hotness" might be hard for some people to work with, as not everyone is proficient with the sections packs listed. Perhaps limit it to a number of different sections per sprite author? i.e. 20 Kaelis sprites, 15 TSA sprites, 10...

Re: Transforming Siege Ship made of 24 karat Gold?!?
Transformations should make sense if they're to be used. As it is, I can't really see any reason why things should be retracting, moving, etc. As for the ship itself, the cannon sprites on the side are out of place, and the front prongs seem very thin for a siege ship. Not liking the gaping holes in...

Re: CE's occasional shipbuilding.
I like it, it's got a "primitive" feeling to the ship, as if it was part of a first-ever launched fleet. The radiators are done nicely, they feel secured quite well to the ship. Need to fix the interpolation a bit though.

Re: Lemme try again
Second iteration looks much better, feels alot more solid after patching up the rear dark area. As Anna said, it does look very industrial without being messy, but the "cargo containers" on the side seem out of place, or not very well "attached".

BSF/SS Meld
I've been away mostly because i've been playing Star Sonata  . But the point of the matter is the game allows players to modify ship images from the client side to show up in the game. And as you may have guessed it i've been interested in remaking all of the ships, BSF-style. However, since S...

Re: Kaelis' Section Factory
This is absolutely fantastic spritework. The sections... incredible detail. Now I feel guilty of not using them .

Re: Insane CAT Ships
You have a penchant for creating outlines with SW sprites, although it's not used to their extent. The most recent ship is bland and flat, vary your sprites to give the ship a bit more detail. The central triangular pieces need to be either changed or supplemented with more sprites, right now it see...

Re: I'm back, and as impatient as ever.
Overall, the ships aren't too bad, but have a general case of messyness. Ecthellion: The dart outline is good, the arms come off at a pleasant angle. However, despite being grayscale with the default background, I can still see holes in the ship. The large engine sprites mess up the depthing on the ...

Re: Weapon Depthing Woes
It's possible that the sections are off by a miniscule amount, and thus mirrored over twice on each side. Have you tried deleting half the ship, undephthing everything, remirroring, then depthing?
Also, can you attach the .sb4 so we can have a look at it?

Re: Custom Sprite Problem
.ini File goes outside of the Custom Ships and Custom Sprites folder, where the actual BSF and SM executables are located.
This is my folder, for example. The .ini files are boxed in orange.

Re: Annoying Guy Doing Ships Again
Nothing really eye-catching, perhaps I have a disposition against those sprites you've used on the front and back (just... gah. They're so weird :|). The two triangular gnr_sw pieces beside the core seem to cut up the curves that start from the rear and front of the ship. The front probe seems like ...

Re: My ships that you will hate :(
Okay first few tries, there's at least some shape coherency in the ships. You might want to consider depthing the topmost sprites on the Serra underneath the arm sprites. There's also overlap on the rear sprites. The Enterprize is probably the best to continue work off of, especially with the arms. ...

Re: Insane CAT Ships
A bit sparse in detail and coloring, but otherwise, it'd pretty decent. Very coherent throughout, i'd say that's a plus. Now you just gotta make it bigger .
